Napoleon attended military school in France where he spent time reading about military history and strategies. Napoleon then led successful military campaigns against Austria and Italy, becoming a national hero. He later staged a coup and became the First Consul of France, leading the country to its greatest extent before his final defeat at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.

Napoleon Bonaparte

The French Hero was born in the island of Corsica, descending from minor Italian nobility, His
father was invested to the French, often making friends with them, but Napoleon disliked his
father’s relations to its colonizer.

Napoleon was soon sent into France and joined Military school, people made fun of his
Corsican accent and made fun of him, Napoleon spent most of his time reading History books
based on old Military strategies.

He supported the French Revolution in 1789 while serving in the French army, and tried to
spread its ideals to his native Corsica. He rose rapidly in the Army after he saved the
governing French Directory by firing on royalist insurgents. In 1796, he began a military
campaign against the Austrians and their Italian allies, scoring decisive victories and becoming a
national hero. Two years later, he led a military expedition to Egypt that served as a
springboard to political power. He engineered a coup in November 1799 and became First
Consul of the Republic.

He led several campaigns towards his enemies and destroying them battle after battle. The
French cheered him as he bought France to its greatest extent in history. The Battle
of Waterloo, which took place in Belgium on June 18, 1815, marked the final defeat of
Napoleon Bonaparte. On Saint Helena, in the South Atlantic Ocean. He died there on May 5,
1821, at age 51.
