Under the MOA, the DA through the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) will provide initial
agricultural inputs such as seeds, seedlings, plastic sheets, and technical assistance
through trainings, and webinars for the establishment and maintenance of the urban
gardens.

The program partners, in return, shall provide the area for establishment, people to
manage the gardens and attend trainings, promote urban agriculture amongst its
employees and in the community and submit reports thereof.

DA-BPI has visited NCMH in Camarin to evaluate the site, recommend crops and

garden under a separate MOU with BPI Los Banos and has started harvesting and
replanting. The BPI UA Team visited Uratex in Alabang while the training and site
establishment will be scheduled soon.

In 2020, the DA-ACPC tapped a total of 21 partner lending conduits (PLCs) to serve all

providing the farmers with their emergency relief loans to help them recover their
