STRUCTURAL STEEL SCOPE OF WORK

SPECIFIC SCOPE OF WORK SUMMARY TO BE INCLUDED IN YOUR PRICE:

You must include in your quotation the work mentioned on the following pages, which is not necessarily
indicated within the tender documents. All information contained within this document will form an integral
component of this discipline's project contractual obligations.

our construction intentions for this project.

Section #3 General Project Scope of Work Items

All structural steel and miscellaneous metals required at Boys and Girls Club Prince of Wales in reference
a)
to the DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS, including, but not limited to,

Complete this scope of work according to the attached schedule, specifically within the indicated
b)
commencement and completion dates.

Supply all labour, material & equipment to complete your scope of work as outlined/specified by the tender
c)
documentation and this detailed scope of work.

d) Enforce any precautionary measures required to ensure your work is safe and protected.

e) Provide the proper amount of qualified personnel to manage your scope.

f) Include for all scaffolding, motorized lifts & equipment to perform your scope.

g) Provide warranties & installation guarantees upon completion of contract - One year warranty.

h) Provide for all required protections and if applicable covering of any previous work competed by others.

i) Provide all required shop drawings within 2 calendar weeks of contract issuance.

j) Keep site clean from all garbage and debris caused by your scope of work.

k) The Sub-Contractor is responsible for daily removal of debris caused by its' scope of work.

The Sub-Contactor is responsible for all the temporary power, as required, to complete its work (generator

system).

It is understood that the Sub-Contractor will complete this scope of work in its entirety with its own forces.
m) Any deviation, or sub contracting to other firms is prohibited without written approval from TAL-CO Building
Innovations, prior to tender submission.

Throughout the course of contract completion, it is the responsibility of the Sub-Contractor to address all
n) deviation from this scope of work immediately. If not duly addressed, TAL-CO Building Innovations
reserves the right to establish a fair and reasonable resolution to any/all outstanding issues.

All extras & credits must be approved by the Project Manager prior to proceeding with the revised scope of

work and the work must be verified by the site Superintendent.

It is the Sub-Contractor's responsibility to review, if necessary, all other project drawings or documents at
p) our office located at 1341-2 Coker Street, Greely, Ontario, K4P 1A1. Additionally, all drawings and
specifications can be found on our website at www.tal-co.com

It is the Sub-Contractor's responsibility to review and sign-off on the TAL-CO Health and Safety Plan prior
q) to commencement of work. The Sub-Contractor has the responsbility to ensure all of their employees
comply with the plan's requirements at all times.

Section #4 Site Specific Scope of Work Items

Supply and erection of structural steel and deck for new expansion as per the DRAWINGS and
a)
SPECIFICATIONS

b) All steel to receive standard primer (Grey colour only).

c) All roof deck to be zinc coated, CANAM or equivalent

Supply and installation of steel colums (including HSS), beams, bearing plates, base plates, channels,
d)
angles, HSS spacers, anchor bolts, Wood Brackets, etc. as per DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS

e) Supply and install all stiffener plates as required as per the DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS.

f) Supply and install of steel deck as per the DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS.

Supply and Install all support and structural reinforcement required for RTU's, exhaust fans, all roof
g) openings and penetrations as per the DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS. This contractor is responsible
to coordinate size and location of penetrations with Mechanical, Electrical, Roofing, and associated trades.

h) Supply and install new Open Web Steel Joists (OWSJ) as per DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS.

Supply of all misc. metals, including loose lintels and bearing plates as per the DRAWINGS and

SPECIFICATIONS

j) Supply and install roof access ladder as per the DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS

k) Provide diagonal bridging at beams as required as per the DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS

l) All drawings or details being submitted require an Engineers Stamp (paid for by this Sub-Contractor).

Extra manpower as required to ensure that the completion of this scope is according to the project

schedule.

n) Supply and install structural reinforcement for future overhead dividing wall in gym

o) Supply and install any reinforcements required to support the GLULAM installations

Provide certification of welds, connections, and installations, stamped and signed by a Professional

Engineer licensed in the Province of Ontario
