Materials
2.5 mm crochet hook (size C) Polyfill to stuff
Cotton yarn: A pair of 16 mm (0,62") brown safety eyes
brown - 50g / 160m (175 yards) Tapestry needle
ivory - 20g / 64m (70 yards) Stitchmarker and pins
dark brown - 10g / 32m (35 yards)
small amount of black for embroidering

Yarn, finished size and gauge ABBREVIATIONS
This sample was made with YarnArt Jeans (half-cotton yarn): A - brown color
cocoa #71, ivory #03, brown #40. Finished size: 9.5" (24 cm) B - ivory color
in seated position, 11.5” (29cm) tall C - dark brown color
Because this is a pattern for a stuffed animal, gauge is not ch - chain
really important. You can use any weight yarn, if you make sc - single crochet
sure that your hook is appropriately sized for your yarn, so slst - slip stitch
that you get a nice, solid fabric. Using a different size hook inc - increase (2 sc in indicated stitch)
and yarn weight will change the size of your finished toy. sc2tog - sc 2 together (decrease)
Make sure you crochet pretty tight all the way, to get no (___st) - total amount of stitches in a
stretching holes between the stiches after you filled in a round
stuffing material. ( ) Nx - repeat between () number of

All parts are crocheted in continuous spirals, without joining the 3sc sc sc sc sc

Now is the best moment to place the eyes. Place the head like
shown on a picture (the wider sides of oval are top and bottom of
the head, the point, where we changed the color is the side of a

Take eye patches with eyes and stick in the eyes from the sides of
a head between 10 and 11 rnds, lifting them on 2sc up from 1st rnd

Pull the hole tightly, fasten off and cut the yarn.

Sew eye patches around the perimeter to the head on slight angle.
Left eye patch should cover the point of color change. (image 2.5)
Take a piece of black yarn and embroider the nose between 1 and
4 rnds of a head’s top part. (it should cover the start point of a
head). The size of a nose - 4sc in height, 2sc - the bottom side, 5sc
- the top side. (image 2.6, 2.7)
Embroider smile between 7 and 8 rnds of a head’s bottom part.
The length of a smile - 5sc (image 2.7)

Sew the head to the body in a circle between 15 and 23 rnds of a
head, placing the front side of a body centered regarding to a face

HAIR
Cut 8 pieces of yarn A about 11 cm (4.33”) long.
(image 6.1). Fold them in half, so that there’s a
U-shaped bend on one side and two ‘tails’ on the other
side. (image 6.2) Insert hook through the stitch of
15th rnd of a head and catch the bend of first hair piece
(image 6.3). Pull the bend trough the stitch and pull
two ‘tails’ of the hair through the bend (image 6.4).
Repeat these steps with all 8 pieces of yarn. (image
