CEP Report - v1

This document outlines a programmable logic controller (PLC) program for a burglar alarm security system. The system uses various sensors, actuators, and communication modules to detect unauthorized entry and alert relevant parties. The PLC program utilizes ladder logic to control and synchronize the system components. If motion or entry is detected where not authorized, the alarm will activate visual and audible alerts to discourage intruders and notify anyone inside. The program also includes communication protocols for immediate notifications to allow remote monitoring and response. Testing was conducted to ensure the system operates effectively and reliably.

ABSTRACT
ii
The purpose of this project is to outline the creation and execution of a Programmable
Logic Controller (PLC) program specifically for a Burglar Alarm Security System. The
system is designed to improve the security of homes and businesses by identifying
unauthorized entry and quickly alerting relevant parties about potential security
violations. Using the flexibility and dependability of PLC technology, the system being
suggested combines different sensors, actuators, and communication modules in order to
establish a strong and effective security solution.
The PLC program uses a ladder logic approach to control and synchronize the functions
of the system components. Important components consist of motion sensors, sensors for
doors and windows, and an alarm module. If any unauthorized movement or entry is
detected, the PLC will activate the alarm system, which will then set off visual and
audible alerts to discourage intruders and alert anyone inside the building. Moreover, the
program includes communication protocols for immediate notifications, allowing for
remote monitoring and response.

Calibrating sensors, programming logic, and conducting integration testing are all part of
the implementation process to make sure the system is both effective and reliable. The
program's modular design makes it easy to scale and adapt for future improvements or
changes. The Burglar Alarm Security System demonstrates how PLC technology can be
used to create smart, automated security solutions. It provides a cost-effective and
flexible alternative to traditional security systems. This project adds to the continued
work of developing new solutions to ensure the safety and protection of both residential
and commercial spaces.
