TECHNICAL DATA SHEET

RESIN
ADHESIVES HARD RESINS

DESCRIPTION PROPERTIES
Stabilized Rosin Ester of Pentaerythritol
The RESIN is a very pale resin with high
resistance to oxidation compatible with most
APPLICATIONS elastomers, waxes and paraffin waxes and
resins used in the adhesive industry.
• Hot melt adhesives
The RESIN has excellent stability to thermal
• Pressure Sensitive adhesives
and oxidative degradation in mixtures of
elastomers and paraffins, allowing the
preparation of Hot-Melt adhesives with better
colour and higher stability.
CHARACTERISTICS

Value Unit

Acid Number(1) ≤ 20 mg.KOH/g. STORAGE AND TOXICITY

Colour Gardner (2) Because of the resin is flaked, the extremely
≤5 -
(50% Toluene) large surface area favours a gradual oxidation.
This could affect adversely the properties. It is
Softening Point (3) 98 - 105 ºC recommended to keep the resin in a dry and cool
(Ring and Ball) place and to maintain a strict control of the
stocks. Resins produced from rosin have a low
(1) CR-004 order of toxicity.
(2) CR-002 For more information consult the safety sheet of
(3) CR-007
this product.
