Steps for this question

1. Write commands for the operations (i) –(ii) based upon the
spreadsheet shown below:
i. To calculate the total salary as sum of Basic Salary, HRA and
DA for each employee for the year 1.

=B2+10/100*5000+D2, Similarly, we can calculate total salary


for all the employees of 1st Year.
ii. To calculate the total salary of each employee for the year 2 as
sum of salary for the year 1 and bonus. Also calculate the
percentage increase in the total salary from year 1 to year 2 for
each employee.

=E2+F2, Similarly, we can calculate total salary for all the


employees of 2ND Year.

For calculating the percentage increased we have use arithmetic


formula i.e. (bonus/2nd year salary)*100.
So, we will get the formula according to excel spreadsheet i.e.
=F2/G2*100.

2. Write the data given below using the Spreadsheet Software.


Name the sheet1 tab as Data.

a. Title Column should be left align, year, Genre sales unit rental
unit should be Centre align.
1) Select entire column of title.
2) Go to home tab and from there go to alignment
section.
3) Then select left alignment option.
4) For making centre align to rest of the column select
the rest of the column except title column, then
select centre alignment option.

b. The row height should be 18.5


1) Select the row.
2) Go to cell section and click on format.
3) From the dropdown menu select row height and adjust
height as 18.5 and click ok.

c. Sort the whole data in the ascending order of unit sales.


1) Select the unit sales column and go to editing section.
2) Click on sort & filter option.
3) From dropdown menu click on smaller to greater option.

d. Create the bar chart for the following data.


1) Select the entire table.
2) Go to insert tab and go to charts section.
3) Select the bar chart option and opt the bar chart of your
preference.

e. Using the conditional formatting color as follows:


i.) Red color for those records that was launched before 2010.
1) Select the year column.
2) Then go to conditional formatting present in the Home
tab’s, Style section.
3) Choose option smaller than and select color red, write
2010 and click ok.

ii.) Green color for those records that was launched after 2010.
1) Select the year column.
2) Then go to conditional formatting present in the Home
tab’s, Style section.
3) Choose option greater than and select color green, write
2010 and click ok.

iii.) Yellow for 2010.


1) Select the year column.
2) Then go to conditional formatting present in the Home
tab’s, Style section.
3) Choose option equal to and select color yellow, write
2010 and click ok.
3. Here is the data of a survey regarding favourite food conducted
among 45 students of a class. Draw a pie chart for this data.
1) First create the table.
2) Then select the entire table.
3) Then go to insert tab and go to chats section.
4) From there select the pie chart option.
5) Then opt the pie chart of your preference.
