This pattern provides instructions for making a stuffed bear named Harvey using various yarn colors and includes finishing touches like a scarf and basket of vegetables.

The materials required are various colors of yarn, a crochet hook, stuffing material, and accessories like embroidery thread and a hot glue gun for the finishing touches.

Harvey is constructed by first making the head, ears, and other body parts separately and then sewing them together. The pattern provides the round-by-round crochet instructions to create each piece.

Assembling the Head
Use straight pins to hold all pieces together while
you are sewing.

Sew the snout, centered on the head between rnds

12-20. Stuff lightly.

Sew the ears over rnds 4-8, on either side of the

head.

After you embroider the eyes, sew the cheeks

between rnds 15-18, approximately 3 sts away from
the snout.

Eye Indents
The eye indents are added over rnd 12, approx 3-4 sts away
from either side of the snout. To add the eye indents, use a
12-inch piece of yarn. Insert the needle from the bottom of
the head and back to front, into the same stitch where you
want your eye placement. Then insert the needle back into
the sc above that st, pull to reduce slack.

Repeat on the second eye, and pull tight. Tie yarn together
on the inside of the head. Take care not to pull them too
close together, as this is just to add a bit of character to the
face. Add extra stuffing, if needed.

To close the head, weave the tail through FLO of the

remaining 6 sts, pulling tight to close. Bury yarn tail in the

head.

Using black embroidery thread, embroider the

eyes over rnds 11-13, the middle st will be the
st with the eye indent.

Once you have added the black, use the white

embroidery thread to add the white details.

Add the eyebrows above the eyes. Hide all

ends on the inside of the head.
