ARCON Authenticator Mobile App OTP

A one-time password (OTP) can be obtained on your mobile phone through the ARCON Authenticator mobile
app to securely login into ARCON | PAM. One-time Passwords or OTP are considered a secure way of dual-
factor authentication. Mobile one-time password (OTP) configuration is one of the dual-factor authentications.
It is used by mobile users implementing the application on mobile, in order to securely login into ARCON | PAM.
The users will have to download and install ARCON Authenticator App from Google Play Store or Apple App
Store to their mobile device to configure mobile OTP dual-factor authentication.

Installing the ARCON Authenticator Application from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store

1. Download and install the ARCON Authenticator application from Google Play Store or Apple Store on
your mobile:
2. Set a Passcode for the first login attempt and re-enter the passcode to confirm:

 The ARCON | PAM Mobile OTP - Self Registration needs to be set up only once.

On the Server Manager, configure Mobile OTP for a particular user.

The following table explains the fields displayed on the ARCON | PAM Mobile OTP - Self Registration screen:

Field Name Description

Unique ID Enter the unique number generated on the ARCON

Authenticator application in the Unique ID field on the desktop. Click the
Validate Unique ID button on the desktop.

Validation Key Generate Validation Password button appears on the desktop. Enter the
validation key on the desktop, which is generated from the ARCON
Authenticator application installed on your mobile. Click the Generate
Validation Password button on the desktop.

Validation Password The Validation Password will appear on the desktop. Enter this password
in the Validation Password field and tap on the Validate Phone button
on your mobile. A validation code will be generated on your mobile
device.

 Ensure to enter the Instance Name in the ARCON

Authenticator application before tapping the Validate Phone
button.

Validation Code Enter the validation code generated from your mobile device into the
respective field on the desktop.

2. Once you enter the validation code in the field, click Validate Code button, a message Mobile OTP Self
Registration Successfully completed will be displayed.

2 Post Mobile App OTP Configuration

1. Enter the credentials in the ARCON | PAM Login screen and click on the Login icon. The Mobile OTP
Validator pop-up will be displayed with the PIN/Challenge.
2. Enter the Pin/Challenge in the Enter Challenge text field in the ARCON Authenticator app.
3. Tap Generate OTP button to generate the OTP.
4. Enter the OTP generated by the ARCON Authenticator application in the Mobile OTP Validator screen
on your desktop.

 You must enter the OTP within 60 seconds for each instance, or the Pin/Challenge will change.
