16.0 Harness/Cable Electrical Shielding
Figure 15-1
Directly applied braid shall [DlD2D3) be back braided to lock the weave. ?rewoven braids shall [DlD2D3) be secured at the ends.
When using cable straps or spot tics. fold the braid over itself. SttUre. and cover the end with heat shrink rubing or tape. Depending
on final usage, prewo\-cn metallic braid may need to be cleaned to remo\"C contamination prior to installation over the harness.
Temporary holding de,iiccs. e.g.. spot tics, plastic straps and lacing. shall f.'ilD2D3) be removed from wire bundles prior to braid
application. Flat tapes may be left under braid if the tape has a low profile.
