SSAS TEST (FELCOM18 IC-307)

To conduct the test the equipment must be in the SSAS manager mode.
To access SSAS manager mode:
1. Press “F8” to show System Setup menu
2. Choose Command Window
3. Press “Enter”
4. On the Enter JOB type: ssas manager
5. Press “Enter”
6. Type password: ship security alert
7. Press “Enter”. Indication “SSAS Manager Mode” is flashing at the top of the
screen
8. Press “Esc” several times to close menu
Testing the Button:
1. Press “F7” to display the Options menu
2. Choose Test window
3. Choose Distress/SSAS Button Test
4. Press “Enter” to start the test. The display shows message in red:
“Distress/SSAS buttons are under test”
5. Open the button cover on the No.1 SSAS (IC-307)
6. Push the button in. Message “SSAS UNIT works correctly” appears
7. 30 sec after the button is pushed in – the SSAS test report is automatically sent
8. Turn off the button of the No.1 SSAS (IC-307)
9. Close the button cover
10. To escape from test press “Esc” twice. Test mode is stopped. Message
“Distress/SSAS Buttons returned to NORMAL OPERATION” appears
11. Press “Esc” three times to return to standby display
12. When the SSAS test report is sent: “Successful Sending message” and
“ Delivery Confirmed: A specified email address”
13. Press “Esc” to continue
14. Confirm that SSAS test report is sent to the stations

Quitting SSAS manager mode:


- On the Enter JOB in Command Window type: “quit” or “quit ssas”

To cancel the transmission:


1. Within 30 sec after the button is pressed – press the button on the SSAS again
to turn it off
2. More than 30 sec after the button is pressed:

Method 1:
- Turn off the button of all SSAS IC-307
- Press the button ON -> OFF -> ON -> OFF on one of the SSAS IC-307

Method 2:
- Switch to the SSAS manager mode
- Press “F8” to show System Setup menu
- Choose Command Window and press “Enter”
- On the Enter JOB type: terminate ssas alert
- Press “Enter”
