Thank you for your contribution and congratulations on your decision to use the
Mystic Gambler Smart Charts™. Learning to use the charts and disciplining yourself
to do so will enhance your Keno play in many ways.
Some of the information that follows is similar to that which appeared in the original
Four Card Keno charts but much of it is different and pertains specifically to the
twenty card game. For that reason, it’s important to read through these introductory
pages before digging into the charts.
Electronic Multi-card Keno can be played at a very fast pace and is highly volatile.
That is, large wins and extreme losses can occur very quickly. It is not a game for the
weak of heart. Many losing games are possible and when you’re playing twenty cards
at a time you may have to dig in deep before you pull yourself out of the hole. The
exciting thing about using the charts is that you can suddenly go from loser status to
king of the mountain in one game.
While Keno is indeed a game of chance and regarded by many to be among the least
favorable games in the casino, arguably it’s the best game to “bet a little and win a
lot”. Followers of The Mystic Gambler and chart users often post about their
excitement when they win on multiple cards. What other method will allow you to
play a nickel machine and walk away with close to three grand? And yes, many
friends and followers do send in pictures of such wins.
Gambling Systems
Long-term gamblers usually prefer to learn games that give them a slight edge
against the house. With most of those games the player has to ‘grind out’ their
winnings over a long period of time or play at levels that may be beyond their means.
Often memorization of complicated strategies is necessary. But keno players look to
leave the casino with a wad of cash in their pocket after one or two big hits during a
single session. They want their money now and without memorizing complicated
strategies. Playing Multi-card Keno, using specially balanced combination charts,
gives you the tools to make that happen. It won’t remove the volatility and in some
cases volatility will increase. But so do the jackpots. The odds odds don’t change but
your chances of winning more of what you want do!

Used properly, and with a little luck, these combination charts can allow you to play
longer, win more often, catch multiple jackpots and make playing Multi-card Keno
even more fun and certainly more exciting.
Start by entering a base number from the Keno board (1 thru 80). Note that the base
number is larger than the spot that you plan to catch. For example, if you plan to
catch a 3 spot, you’ll need to select five numbers for a standard reduction or four
numbers for the compressed version. Standard base numbers will have two
additional numbers while compressed base numbers will have only one added
number. Advanced play techniques will incorporate both.
In Multi-card Keno it’s all about balance. The more numbers that you distribute, the
less likely a multi-card win will occur but the likelihood of winning something
increases. The Keno Smart Charts™ aim more to getting big wins by only increasing
the available numbers by two at the most. More numbers might increase session time
but the likelihood of huge multiple jackpots decreases.
Compressed Charts
The compressed versions of the charts are even more pointed to winning massive
jackpots than catching smaller wins. That’s important to understand, That means
that playing compressed combinations can get expensive because you won’t get a
jackpot on multiple cards unless you catch the entire base number.
Take a compressed five spot for example. There are only six numbers in the base
so there are only six combinations of five numbers. If you catch a five spot, you only
catch it on one card. Yes, you will win on the other cards of the combination but you
won’t win on multiple cards - until you hit all six of your base numbers.
Essentially, your playing a six spot that’s made up of six five spots on the Keno board.
So when you catch all six, you’ll win on all six cards! It’s almost (but not quite) an all
or nothing proposition. Playing the compressed five spot happens to be one of my
favorite plays.

When selecting your base number it’s a good idea to consider patterns of play. Keno
players recognize that numbers fall into patterns as they appear on the Keno board.
Most famous of those patterns is triplets; the tendency for numbers to appear in
groups of three. There is a section in this chart pack that shows popular patterns for
various spots. Most of those patterns include triplets in some manner.
After selecting and entering your base number, repeat it in the empty boxes below it -
skipping the boxes that are blacked out. After doing so, the result will be twenty
unique combinations of numbers in rows A-T of the chart. You will end up with twenty
combinations of your base number. Now you can easily mark the Multi-card Keno
cards (on the machine) accordingly.
By having your base numbers repeated and evenly distributed among the twenty
Keno cards, you’ll increase your chances of winning on more than one card. So even
if you don’t catch the top spot, it’s possible to ‘stay in business’ longer when you catch
the lesser ones. There may be times when you can come out ‘ahead’ without ever
getting the top award. Multiple hits on the lesser awards of 8, 9 and 10 spots can
payoff nicely.
So first, please use the charts. It only takes a little thought and a few minutes to get
set up - even though it can seem like hours. Secondly, take the extra time to double
check your entries. Unlike Four Card Keno, a mistake in Twenty Card Keno may not
be apparent after you begin to play. Just one number being off or omitted can mean
the difference between a big win and a pitiful loss. You bought this chart pack to
increase your Keno action. Don’t forget about using it.
While most Keno players don’t attempt to catch anything above a seven spot, it is fun
to go for the bigger jackpots once in a while. Especially if you’re up and playing with
other people’s money.
The obvious problem is that the longer you play for the 7, 8, 9 or 10 spot, the more
likely you are to run out of money. When you do move to the larger spots, it’s a good
idea to set either a time limit or dollar limit on what you’re willing to spend. When

you reach that limit, you can go back to a spot that’s more reasonable. By doing that
you may be able to ‘recover’ without digging deeper into your bankroll. You might
even consider the boring three spot at times if you’re running low on funds.
So, the higher the odds, the more likely you are to experience extreme losses in a
small amount of time. If you play Keno regularly you will understand that it is a game
that requires patience. In the days before electronic keno was so prolific, when Keno
parlors were more popular, gamblers would wait hours for a good hit.
A Beautiful Thing
In reality, you don’t necessarily have to play the riskier spots in order to win big when
you use the charts. If you win a five out of five jackpot on all twenty cards, you won’t
have much to complain about. In reality that would be as exciting as catching a seven
spot, wouldn’t it? That’s one of the beautiful points of using The Mystic Gambler
Smart Charts™ in the first place. The other beautiful thing is that you can bet less
and still when more. The magic is the ability of the balanced combinations to return
wins on multiple cards. So, that illusive jackpot can still be had, but at a lower cost.
Later in this chart pack you’ll find two examples of doing that; a 7 spot supported by 6
spots and 5 spots supported by 4 spots (one of my personal favorites). You can set up
any spot to overlap with others simply by sharing a few base numbers with one or a
series of other spots. Compressed numbers can be combined with standard base
numbers.
If you’re just killing time and not worried about winning enough to change your life,
here’s an idea to have a good blend of relaxation and excitement; Experiment with
playing four spots with supporting three spots. You can often sit there, drinking lots
of coffee or beer and just wait for streaks or a even a hit on all twenty cards. It’s a lot
of fun and you’ll have some great surprises along the way. And obviously your risks
are less. There’s actually an argument for the three spot being the best play.
Triplets Explained
As mentioned earlier, Keno numbers have a tendency to fall into patterns that you
may notice after each game is played. You may further notice that there is a tendency
for most of the patterns to occur as triplets. Experiment with selecting numbers that
are associated with each other in groups of three. That is, three numbers that are
‘touching’ each other - either diagonally, vertically or horizontally.

An example of three numbers that are touching on the Keno board would be 51, 61,
and 62. The number 52 touches 61 diagonally and 62 vertically. That is a triplet.
Consider playing a six spot as two triplets. And a seven spot may be played as a triplet
plus a ‘quad’ (4 touching numbers). There is no hard and fast rule of course but your
experimenting will most likely conclude what many players have discovered, even
without mathematical proof - triplets pay.
There will be a tendency for the clusters to form within the boundaries of the
quadrants when the board is divided into four areas. While it’s not a hard and fast
rule, it’s a worthy method of visualizing the Keno board for the placement of any
spots. The larger the spot, the more you can spread the numbers across the board.
Smaller spots should be kept tighter.
This is especially important with Multi-card Keno because you have an opportunity
to catch the “one off” numbers. “One off” numbers occur frequently in single card
Keno but in Multi-card Card Keno you’ll be able to select base numbers that are
grouped together more closely - sort of surrounding your usual selection. Most of the
big wins that I’ve seen, including my own, have been with fairly tight clusters and
with most of the numbers falling into one of the quadrants.
It is the pay-outs on the bottom end of the pay schedule that determine how long you
will be able to continue playing without adding more money. That’s simply because
the smaller wins occur much more frequently than the big hits - like a 6 out of six.
These payout amounts are too small in the first place without the casino reducing
them even more. Casino managers know that most players just look at the top prize
and don’t pay attention to the lesser ones. So they reduce the amount of the smaller
wins to force the player into inserting more money quicker.
Different payout schedules can be found on different machines in the same casino.
Look at various machines throughout the casino before you select one to play at.

Many times the worse payout schedules can be found on or near video poker
machines to entice players that may be getting tired of making strategy
decisions.
Especially when playing at a new casino, ‘shop around’ for the best payout
schedule that you can find.
That’s why many successful players stick to playing five spots and support the
expense ( 3 and 4 out of 5 are skimpy pays) with four spots and maybe even
three spots which hit much more frequently. Once you’ve accumulated some
winnings then you can go for the 8, 9 and 10 spots and hope that your lucky day
has arrived.
There’s no guarantees when it comes to Keno but there are ways that you can
play smarter. These charts are one proven method of doing that when you can
compromise the reach of playing many numbers for the increased opportunity
to catch jackpots on multiple cards.
Another important strategy is to know when to walk away so that you can play
another day. Good luck!

Compressed Combinations
Keno Smart Chart™

Compressed charts ‘compress’ the base number to only one more than the target spot. So the pool of
available numbers is reduced but you are playing ALL of the combinations. The effect will be to win less
often but the likelihood of winning on all twenty cards increases. Since the available combinations for
each compressed base number are less than the 20 cards, there’s plenty of opportunity for creativity by
combining a few numbers of a previous card or by using smaller compressed spots to ’ ‘support’ the
larger ones. Experiment!

chart. In this example the base numbers for the 7 spot have been placed in the ‘bottom’ half
of the Keno Board with a bias to the bottom left quadrant. Experiment with your own
numbers, placements and patterns. The base numbers for the special 6 spot chart is
created by using 3 sets of numbers from the 7 spot base and adding 4 new numbers that are
common on all three 6 spot sections. The 6 spots pay considerably more than the 7 spots for
catching 3, 4, and 5 numbers. Of course the odds of catching a six spot are also better.
Cards A -J use the same base number.

the six numbers is distributed. Supporting the 5 spot is a standard 4 spot that uses 6 base numbers.
Enter a base number in section 1. Then enter a different base number in section 2. Repeat the base
