All You Need to Know Before Your IELTS Test

• Test Takers MUST bring their ID (TC Kimlik or Passport) which they registered to
IELTS. Correct ID will be enough to sit the test. However, if you bring a different ID, you will
not be admitted to the test.

• Driver’s License, Residence Permits and Work Permits etc. are not accepted for taking
IELTS.

• If your ID you registered with is changed or got lost, you must notify the test centre at
least 24 hours before your IELTS Test.

• Please do not forget that you will not be admitted to the test if you do not have
your HES Code with you.

• All Test Takers will be required to wear a mask throughout the test.

• Test Takers can bring water in a transparent bottle. It is also recommended that test
takers bring their own pen, pencil, mechanical pencil, eraser, and pencil sharpener to the
testing room due to Covid-19.

• No electronic devices will be allowed into the test room. You may leave them with your
personal belongings. There will be a cloaking room for your belongings, but please leave your
valuables at home.

• Remember that you must arrive test venue 45 minutes before your Listening,
Reading, Writing test time and 20 minutes before your Speaking test.

• Test Centre may change your IELTS Speaking test type as Online Video Call Speaking
due to the rapidly changing conditions of the pandemic. This means that the examiner will not
be in the same room as you but will speak to you using video-calling technology whilst
maintaining our trusted face-to-face human conversation.

• Your IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) will be sent to your address by post after your
results are released if you provided an address in Turkey on the Test Taker Portal.

• Your invoice regarding the test fee will be sent to your registered email after you take
the test.

Rules and Regulations in the Test Centers during Covid-19 Period

Please do not attend your test if:

• you are under 14-day compulsory quarantine, stay-at-home order, medical surveillance,
or a self-quarantine order, as specified by the COUNTRY Government

• You have been in contact with any person suspected to be exposed to coronavirus; or

• You have a cold, fever, are short of breath or have flu-like symptoms

If any of the above applies to you, please contact the test centre.

On test day:

• At registration, you will be asked to sign a document confirming the above

• Your temperature might be taken at the point of entry

• You will be asked to keep 2 m distance from other test takers and staff

• Please follow basic hygiene practices such as using hand-sanitizer provided on test day
and regularly washing your hands

• You are welcome to bring with you, and wear, a face mask that covers your mouth and
nose. You may be requested to remove this for identification or other purposes. Staff and
examiners may also wear a face mask on test day.

After your test:

• If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 less than 14 days after you took your IELTS test,
you are requested to report this to your test center by email. This will help ensure we can
communicate with other test takers and follow government advice.
