Transfer Goals:
In this quarter, we aim that you, in the long run will be able to cultivate a deeper understanding of what
communication is, concerning its fundamental features, its forms and purposes. By this learning, you
will be able to use your ability to communicate in spreading the good news of God in such a way that
people may know Him more.

Essential Understanding:
Verbal communication is a powerful tool for conveying thoughts and ideas, but its
effectiveness greatly depends on the clarity, tone, and context in which words are used. Mastery of
both aspects is essential for clear, meaningful, and impactful interpersonal interactions.

Essential Questions:
 How can we use verbal communication effectively to ensure our messages are
accurately understood?
 How do verbal and nonverbal communication work together to shape the way we
express ourselves, understand others, and build successful relationships?
I. Preliminaries
Review:
What is the most interesting lesson you have learned from the topic of barriers to
communication?
Focus:
Verbal and Nonverbal Communication

Vocabulary (unlocking of difficulties)

Motivation:
Activity: Guessing Game
- The students will find a pair. In each pair, one student will be the "speaker," and the other
will be the "listener." A list of phrases or sentences will be given to the speaker. The speaker's task is to
convey the message from their list to the listener without using any words. They can only use
nonverbal cues, such as facial expressions, body language, and gestures. The students will be given 1-
2 minutes to take turns being the speaker and listener.
