UNIVERSITY OF LUCKNOW, LUCKNOW
2022 – 23
Introduction:
● Custom Input Capability: Our Arduino-based Automated Water Dispenser
allows users to input custom fluid volumes effortlessly, departing from
predefined options, for a personalized dispensing experience.
● Efficient Free-Flow Operation: The dispenser features an efficient free-
flow mechanism, ensuring water flows until the utensil reaches its capacity.
● Ultrasonic Sensor Technology: Employing an ultrasonic sensor, the system
detects when the utensil is full, automatically stopping the dispensing
process to prevent overflow and wastage.
● Smart Fluid Availability Check: When a custom volume is entered, the
dispenser checks the available fluid in storage to ensure it meets the
requested volume, preventing inadequate dispensing.

Objective and Scope of Usage:

Certainly! Here are possible objectives and the scope of usage for the Arduino-
based Automated Water Dispenser project:

Objectives:
1. Efficient Water Management: To enable precise and customized
dispensing of water, optimizing its usage and preventing wastage.
2. User Convenience: To provide users with a user-friendly interface
for easily selecting and dispensing desired water volumes according to
their specific needs.
3. Technological Innovation: To integrate Arduino-based automation
and ultrasonic sensor technology for a smart and efficient water
dispensing system.

Scope of Usage:
1. Households: Suitable for use in households, kitchens, or offices to
facilitate controlled and tailored water dispensing for various purposes
like cooking, drinking, or filling containers.
2. Commercial Establishments: Applicable in restaurants, cafes, or
public places where precise water dispensing is required, ensuring
accurate portioning for beverages or cooking.
3. Industrial Applications: Potential utilization in industries or
manufacturing units where controlled water supply is necessary for
specific processes or machinery.
Advantages

● Customized Dispensing: Enables users to input custom fluid volumes for

tailored and personalized usage.

● Efficient Resource Use: Prevents wastage by automatically stopping

dispensing when the utensil reaches capacity, thanks to the ultrasonic sensor
technology.

● Enhanced User Experience: Simplifies user interaction through a user-

friendly interface, ensuring a seamless and convenient dispensing process.

Methodology/ Planning of work

1. Design and analyze the circuit as per the requirement.
2. Search and identify applicable and efficient modules.
3. After simulation, we will implement the circuit on the breadboard for verifying
the circuit.
4. After implementing on the breadboard, with the help of ARDUINO IDE
command will be coded onto Arduino microcontroller.
5. EasyEDA will be used for designing PCB.
6. Breadboard implemented circuit will be implemented on the PCB.
