Myself-Nandhini M.I have completed my MCA., degree. I like fashion and

I think I am good at designing clothes. I can use some design software like

Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop I have designed some clothes that people

seemed to like. I have also worked with a team of other designers, and we have

made some collections together. I like fashion and I think I am good at

making, and textiles, and I am comfortable working with a wide range of

materials.

My approach to design is rooted in a deep understanding of fashion

history, combined with a forward-thinking vision for the future of the industry. I

am particularly adept at trend forecasting, and my ability to anticipate and

consumer preferences has been a key factor in my success.

 About the course

Fashion Designing course is a creative career option that deals with the

application of design in the development of clothing and other accessories.

Fashion Designing teaches the various methods to design, stitch, and produce

various kinds of clothing.

Candidates who finish this course are called Fashion Designers. They

showcase their innate skills and uniqueness in various kinds of garments. They

cater to the demands of the customers and produce styles that are relevant

and acceptable to the current times.

 AARI WORK
Aari work is a type of embroidery which is done on a stretched fabric

and stitching the design with a long needle which has a hook in the end. The

needle technique origins from the mocha community who use this type of

needle to stitch intricate patterns on leather footwear. The needle is named as

Aari, from which the embroidery work derives its name as Aari work. This work

consists of beads, stones, golden and silver threads which gives a royal richness

to the design. Aari work is known for its elegant thread work that enhances the

gravity of hand embroidery. Aari work has marked its existence from

12th century i.e. from the time of Mughal ruling. With time the work has spread

to places like Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and other places who

added their touch of traditional design and recognized the specialty of the

work. Sliding from the families of the ruling kings and the queens, today, the

craft can be seen on any teenager’s cap or top, with the traditional gear of

various states, like sarees, chaniya cholis of a bride or on festive attire.

Aari work description

 For the yoke part of a traditional gown aari has been done.

 For the neck and the hand zig zag aari work has been done.

 Sugar beads are used as the first line.

 Next stone chain has been used

 For the third line small golden beads are used.

 Next again sugar beads are used.

 Small water drop beads are used surrounded by sugar beads.

 For the zig zag work small golden tube beads are used.
 Hand Embroidery
Hand Embroidery is the art of decorative stitching on fabric with needle and

thread. There are many types of floss, yarn and fibres to stitch with, as well as

a plethora of stitches to use. Hand Embroidery adds a decorative element to

quilts, garments and accessories. Hand embroidery has been used by quilters

on all types of quilts from crazy quilts, applique quilts and pieced quilts,

traditional as well as modern or contemporary quilts. Embroidery may include

ribbons, beads and buttons. There are many resources for hand embroidery

stitches. Hand embroidery can be decorative as well as practical.

 Hand Embroidery adds design elements on quilts and

garments.

 Embroidery stitches can enhance applique with details.

 Embroidery can be used to cover seams in Crazy Quilts.

Design description
 The design used here is a lion and a girl. Which shows the inner self of a

women how powerful they are.

 The green colour is the painting. Woven wheel stich is used to look like

rose.

and leaves

Dress description
 The dress is beautifully stitched with orange colour yoke part and skirt with green and

multicolour border.

 This dress has been stitched with touch of Indian traditional wear, with small modern touch.

 For the dress A-line lining has been given.

 For the yoke part the neck line is finessed with Aari Zig Zag work, princess cut has been given

to look more beautifully.

 It is elbow sleeve. Same Zig Zag work is followed for the sleeve

 For the skirt part 5 m silk fabric is used. Small normal pleats is used to make the dress more

elegant.
 Event-Fashion Art Fest 2023

This event was conducted by Fashion Art Institution -Coimbatore. Their

mission is to create and mould female/homemakers into a home

entrepreneur. Where they organised a grand fashion show fest on October

2023 in Prozon-Mall Coimbatore.in this fest they arranged a various

competition like beauty queen, mom and daughter, dazzling designer. More

than 500 participants participated in the event. where I myself participated

Dazzling designer event. I designed and stitched a dress for a kid of age 8. This

dress I designed as a party wear dress.

steeps doble canvas have been used.

 To highlight the dress stone has been fixed on the lines.

 For the top layer of the skirt more crush has been used to look fluffier.
