About She++

She++ is an initiative that provides an opportunity for early-in-career diverse talent to network with
our Uber representatives - business leaders, alumni, HR professionals - and thereby get a glimpse into
what a fulfilling career in technology looks like. Launched in 2019, Uber conducts an event to engage
with this talent every March commemorating International Women’s Day.
In spirit, She++ is a representation of everything that Uber stands for when it comes to fostering a
diverse and inclusive workforce. It shows women engineering students - still in their second year of
engineering (at least a year away from such an opportunity).

What’s new this year?


This year we are expanding our horizons of diversity beyond gender, and welcoming students who
might identify with any kind of disability into the fold to provide them the same insights into the world
of technology and a career with Uber.

Qualification:
● Currently in their 2nd year Bachelor’s, or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering or a
related technical discipline.
● Demonstrated software engineering experience through previous internships, work
experience, coding competitions, and/or publications
● Programming experience one or more application or systems languages (Go, Python, Ruby,
Java, C/C++, etc)
● Experience building tools/infrastructure
● A desire to be part of a team that delivers impactful results every day
● A commitment to writing understandable, maintainable, and reusable software
● An innate desire to deliver and a strong sense of accountability for your work
● Willingness to learn new languages and methodologies

Stipend: INR 110,800/ month


 (inclusive of Rs. 15,000 housing allowance/ month)+ Uber Credits + To and Fro air tickets +
Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and snacks at office).

● If you are shortlisted post-assessment, you’ll be called for the She++ event.

○ Travel tickets, commute costs, and accommodation will be provided by Uber
● Post-event there will be an interview round with the Hiring Manager
● Joining in May as UberStar Interns
