A HIGH-QUALITY PAPER CHECKLIST☑ INTRODUCTION ☑ The introduction gets the reader’s attention right from the beginning. ☑ Some background information is provided to connect the attention getter to the thesis statement. ☑ Introduction contains the THESIS STATEMENT and a preview of the subtopics to be discussed. ☑ Our thesis statement is the last sentence of our introduction. ☑ Our thesis statement is clear and easily understood. ☑ Our thesis statement states our purpose and narrows our topic. A HIGH-QUALITY PAPER CHECKLIST☑ BODY PARAGRAPHS ☑ Each body paragraph uses clear topic sentences, transitions, and other features to create coherence and structure. ☑ Each body paragraph contains one of the subtopics that directly relates to the thesis statement. ☑ Each paragraph develops a single point (or set of points related to one idea).
