SUMMARY
David Bowie is a Manager of Technology in Sapient's Chicago office. He joined sapient in 2002 and has
worked on several projects that encompassed the full software development lifecycle. As a result of this
work, he has valuable experience in defining, designing, implementing, and maintaining data-driven,
object-oriented and service-based enterprise systems. In addition to his industry and technical expertise,
David also has proven skills in process redesign and in the management of successful teams, both
onshore and offshore.

The majority of David's experience has been in the financial services industry. Specifically, David has
worked on projects in the energy trading, mortgage lending and insurance arenas. Most recently, David
worked with a top-10 hedge fund to deliver several strategic initiatives aimed at improving their day-to-
day operations. Prior to that, David worked with a top-10 mortgage lender to streamline business
processes and design a new loan origination system and product and pricing engine. Before that, he
played a critical role in the design and development of a sales force automation tool for three separate
lines of business at a national commercial insurance company. At another large insurer, he worked to
redesign the processes governing their data migration strategy. Before joining Sapient, David mainly
worked on projects in the life sciences and energy services industries. He holds a bachelor’s degree in
Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Publicis Sapient July 2015 To Present

Mortgage Process Redesign- Architect

Description :The Mortgage Process Redesign was a long-term initiative to provide offshore support for
the IT Operations of a one of the reputed European bank.
David worked with a distributed team of 21 people in India to deliver several key initiatives that
dramatically reduced the cost of IT support for our client. As the only onshore member of the team,

Insurance Agent Self-Service - Sr. Developer

Description :The purpose of the Insurance Agent Self-Service project was to reduce costs and increase
customer retention by improving the processes of quoting and issuing an insurance policy across three
lines of business at a major commercial insurer.
David worked with a distributed team of 11 people in India to deliver several key initiatives that
dramatically reduced the cost of IT support for our client besides suggesting new ways to improve the
performance of the IT support service.
