What is AI

Definition of AI

Artificial intelligence is when technology,

particularly computer systems, mimics human intelligence processes.
Expert systems, natural language processing, speech recognition, and
computer vision are some examples of specific AI applications.
Vendors are rushing to use AI to market their goods and services as
interest in AI has grown. They frequently describe AI as a component
of technology, like machine learning. Machine learning algorithms
need to be created and trained on specialized hardware and software,
which is required for AI. AI is not a programming language; however,
Python, R, Java, C++, and Julia have grown in popularity among AI developers.
Large quantities of labeled training data are routinely ingested by AI systems,
which then examine the data for correlations and patterns before employing these patterns to
forecast future states. By examining millions of instances, an image recognition program may
learn to recognize and characterize items in photographs, and a chatbot can learn to make real
conversations with users given text samples. Generative AI approaches are able to produce
realistic text, graphics, music, and other media.

Programming for AI emphasizes cognitive skills such as:

• learn. The goal of this branch of AI programming is to collect data and create rules that
will turn it into knowledge. Algorithms, often referred to as rules, provide specific
instructions to computer hardware on how to do a certain task.
• Reasoning. The optimum algorithm to deliver the required result is what this field of AI
programming is all about.
• Creativity. To produce novel pictures, words, melodies, and thoughts, this branch of
artificial intelligence makes use of neural networks, rule-based systems, statistical
methods, and other AI technologies.

6|Page
• Self-correction. This feature of AI programming is to continuously improve algorithms and
make sure they deliver the most precise results. (BURNS, 2022)

Types of AI

1) ARTIFICIAL NARROW INTELLIGENCE

2) ARTIFICIAL GENERAL INTELLIGENCE
3) ARTIFICIAL SUPERINTELLIGENCE
4) REACTIVE MACHINES
5) LIMITED MEMORY
6) THEORY OF MIND
7) SELF-AWARE

Artificial narrow intelligence

A kind of AI called narrow artificial intelligence (ANI) is made to carry

out particular jobs or address particular issues. Because ANI is incapable of completing
activities outside of its unique programming, it is often referred to as weak AI. It is intended to
be extremely specialized and narrowly focused, and the purpose for which it is programmed is
the extent of its capabilities.

Search engines, recommendation engines, and voice assistants are just a few
examples of applications that employ ANI, which is now the most used kind of AI. These
machines lack the ability to reason or think beyond the confines of their specialized
programming and are only programmed to carry out certain tasks, such as information
searching, product recommendation, or question answering.

ANI differs from Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) in that it is designed to

have human-like intelligence and the ability to perform any intellectual task that a human can

7|Page
perform. AGI is still a hypothetical concept and no system has yet been developed that meets
the criteria for AGI.

In general, ANI is an important type of AI that has a wide range of applications in

various industries. Its specialized focus and limited capabilities make it suitable for specific
tasks and problems, and its continued development is expected to lead to significant
improvements in various fields.ANI differs from Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) in that
it is created to have intelligence similar to that of humans and the capacity to carry out any
intellectual work that a person is capable of. A system that satisfies the requirements for AGI
has not yet been created, hence it is currently only a theoretical idea.

In summary, ANI is a significant class of AI with several

applications across numerous sectors. Its narrow focus and constrained capabilities make it
suited for particular activities and issues, and it is anticipated that further development will
result in major advancements across a range of industries.

Artificial GENERAL INTELLIGENCE

Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is a hypothetical type of AI

capable of performing any intellectual task a human can perform. AGI is also called Strong AI
or Human-level AI because it is designed to have human-like intelligence and awareness.
Unlike narrow artificial intelligence (ANI), which is designed to perform specific tasks or solve
specific problems, AGI is designed to be more versatile and adaptive, with the ability to learn
and reason in new situations. You can generalize from one task to another, transfer knowledge
from one domain to another, and have common sense and reasoning skills.

AGI is still a hypothetical concept and no system has

yet been developed that meets the criteria for AGI. It is considered the ultimate goal of AI
research as it has the potential to revolutionize many fields such as medicine, education and
scientific research.

8|Page
However, the development of AGI is a very challenging task and many technical, ethical and
social challenges must be addressed before it can become a reality. Some experts believe that
AGI may present significant risks to society.

Overall, AGI is a very ambitious goal for AI research, and its

development could have significant implications for the future of humanity. Although the
development of AGI is still a long way off, the pursuit of this goal will lead to significant
advances in the field of AI research.

Artificial SUPERINTELLIGENCE

Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI) is a hypothetical type of AI that is more

advanced than Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). ASIs are often described as having an
intelligence that exceeds human intelligence by a significant margin in every possible way. It
is the hypothetical level of intelligence that machines can achieve if they surpass the cognitive
abilities of highly intelligent humans.

While AGI is designed to produce human-like intelligence, ASI goes

further to achieve levels of intelligence unimaginable to humans. It has the ability to understand
and solve problems that are currently beyond human understanding, and can outperform
humans in all intellectual tasks. The development of ASI is still entirely hypothetical and no
way to create such a system is currently known. Some experts predict that it can be achieved
through iterative self-improvement, where an AI system designs an even smarter system, which
in turn creates an even smarter system, and so on, leading to an exponential increase in
intelligence.

While the development of

ASI may lead to significant advances in several areas, it also presents significant risks and
ethical issues. Potentially, it could lead to a future where machines rule and humans become
obsolete, or it could have unintended consequences that could harm humans.

9|Page
In general, ASI is still considered science
fiction, and it is uncertain whether it will ever become a reality. However, the hunt for AGI and
ASI is making important strides in the realm of AI research and is a topic that scientists and
academics are always interested in and exploring.

Reactive MACHINES

Reactive machines are a type of AI system designed to respond to specific

inputs in real time without the use of memory or the ability to learn from past experience.
These systems are often programmed to perform a specific task, such as playing a game or
controlling a robotic arm, and rely on rules and sensors to respond to the environment. Reactive
machines cannot form representations of the world or reason about past experiences. They are
fully reactive and respond to current input based on their predefined rules and algorithms. As
a result, these systems are highly specialized and have limited capabilities, but can be very
effective in specific domains.

An example
of a reactive machine is IBM's Deep Blue chess-playing computer, which defeated world chess
champion Garry Kasparov in 1997. Deep Blue was programmed to evaluate potential moves
based on pre-defined rules and react to the current state of the game. and algorithms.

Reactive machines
are different from other artificial intelligence (AI) systems like machine learning or artificial
general intelligence in that they are built to learn from the past and get better with practice.
Although reactive machines have certain limits in terms of capability, they may be highly
useful in some fields where real-time feedback is essential, such as robotics, manufacturing, or
gaming.

Reactive
machines are an essential form of artificial intelligence that have many uses across several
sectors. Although they may not be as sophisticated as other forms of AI, their narrow focus and

10 | P a g e
capacity to react swiftly and precisely to real-time input makes them an essential tool for many
applications.

Limited MEMORY

Limited memory in the context of artificial intelligence (AI) is a type of

machine learning algorithm that can only access a limited amount of past data to make
predictions or decisions. These algorithms are also called online learning algorithms because
they learn and update their models in real time as new data becomes available. In limited
memory algorithms, the model stores the subset of past data that is most relevant to the current
prediction or decision-making task. This subset is usually determined based on a predefined
time window or a number of previous data points. Algorithms use this limited data set to make
predictions or decisions based on current input.

Limited memory algorithms are commonly used in applications where the

amount of available data is large or continuously changing, such as financial forecasting, fraud
detection, or natural language processing. These algorithms can handle large amounts of data
without requiring significant computing resources because they only need to store a limited
subset of the data.

The stochastic gradient descent technique, which is frequently applied in deep learning
models, is an illustration of a restricted memory algorithm. This approach adjusts the model
parameters based on a tiny randomly selected fraction of the training data at each iteration
rather than utilizing the whole training data set.

In general, machine learning algorithms with a low memory are

crucial because they can effectively manage massive volumes of data in real time. Although
they might not be as accurate in predicting outcomes as other machine learning algorithms,
they are nevertheless useful in many applications because to their speed and efficiency.

Theory OF MIND

The capacity to ascribe one's own and other people's mental states, including as
beliefs, wants, intentions, and emotions, is referred to as theory of mind. In other words, it is
the capacity to see that others may have feelings, opinions, and thoughts that are different from
your own. This idea is crucial to the study of psychology and cognitive science because it
explains how people and other animals relate to one another and interpret their surroundings.
One important aspect of social cognition that is necessary for effective social engagement and
communication is the capacity to assign others' mental states.

The study of theory of mind in the context of artificial

intelligence (AI) is related to the creation of intelligent systems that can communicate with
people in a more intuitive and natural way. AI systems can become better at interpreting and
reacting to human behavior by being given the ability to comprehend and infer people's mental
states.

The goal of AI theory of

mind research is to create algorithms and models that can deduce human intents, beliefs, and
emotions from their behaviors and facial expressions. These include computer vision systems
that can decipher facial expressions and body language as well as natural language processing
systems that can identify subtle indications in language and tone.

In psychology and cognitive science, theory of mind is

a key idea that has enormous ramifications for the creation of increasingly sophisticated,
human-like AI systems. It is possible to engage with people more naturally and productively
by enabling robots to comprehend and react to human mental states. (Sunny, 2022)

12 | P a g e
Self-Aware

Self-awareness is the ability to recognize and understand one's own

thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as their impact on oneself and others. It is considered
a key component of consciousness and is often considered a defining characteristic of human
intelligence. In the context of artificial intelligence (AI), self-awareness is a hotly debated
topic, and some researchers believe it is a necessary component for developing truly intelligent
machines. However, the extent to which AI systems can be self-aware remains a topic of
ongoing research and debate.

One potential approach to developing self-aware AI systems is to focus on

developing algorithms and models that can observe and monitor their own performance and
learning. This includes building systems that can not only learn from data, but also reflect their
own learning and adjust based on their own performance.

Another approach to developing self-aware AI systems is to focus on

building models that can simulate human-like thought and decision-making processes. This
involves developing models that can reason about their own beliefs and intentions and adjust
their behavior based on their own internal states.

In general, the concept of self-awareness is an important topic

in both psychology and AI research. While developing truly self-aware AI systems remains a
challenge, ongoing research in this area will help improve our understanding of the nature of
consciousness and intelligence.

AI in the Year 2030: A Vision

Artificial intelligence (AI) is predicted to advance substantially and have

a more significant social influence by 2030 than it does now. Here are some potential directions
for AI growth by 2030:

Pervasive AI:

Artificial intelligence (AI) is

anything but new. It has been an important
part of our daily life for quite some time now.
Alexa calls us without warning. Our cars are
parallel parked for us. There is no doubt that
AI is quite intelligent. However, at least for
the majority of businesses, AI is still in its
infancy in the commercial sector. Despite the
fact that many businesses view AI as the next
step in digital transformation, they cannot
simply accelerate their investment in AI-based operations. Because? Well, there's a long list of
seemingly valid reasons: experience, long implementation times, and complex workflows, for
starters. Many companies facing these obstacles find it difficult to see a path to success, so
their AI projects and business transformation ambitions lie dormant. But AI is smarter and
easier to use than ever, so it's time to clear the fog of misunderstanding surrounding AI. The
timing couldn't be better. As the “new normal” begins, companies are looking for ways to
provide a great customer experience, becoming more responsive and easier to do business with.
At the same time, they are grappling with the aftermath of the "Great Quit" and need to
cultivate a more desirable work environment to energize tired and frustrated employees. Using
AI to reinvent your processes can help you stay compliant on both fronts.

16 | P a g e
Instead of trying to understand AI, companies should focus on solutions that solve
these business problems. AI is the driving force behind intelligent automation systems, yet
these platforms have developed to keep the complexity of AI away from the business process
professionals who utilize them. This new era of AI, “ubiquitous AI,” marks the end of
technology paralysis and the beginning of transformational enablement.

How ubiquitous AI is accelerating your business

It is important to understand that pervasive AI does not mean being locked in an

indescribable black box. Professional developers and others with the right technical skills
should be able to understand how your AI engine works and the results you achieve. Diffusion
means extending these AI capabilities in a more transparent way to users who have business
process experience but not necessarily software development experience.

So where do you start? First, you should review your most critical
workflows and determine bottlenecks. AI will be especially helpful for procedures that largely
rely on applications, forms, handwritten text, and other documents. Consider the various
activities that occur throughout the process, the types of data and systems used, the human
groups that execute the process, and all the interactions between these elements. Look for an
intelligent automation supplier that complements your unique workflows (such as loan
processing or client onboarding) and the intricacies of your business.

When you start with your AI projects, start with relatively simple
activities to get everyone familiar with the technology, achieve quick success, and build
excitement within the organization. For example, in a loan application process, you might start
by analyzing the documents submitted by clients (application, proof of income, etc.),
categorize them by type, and send them to human workers to continue the process. Over time,
you can also use AI to improve the customer service experience, using data from CRM systems
to direct customers to appropriate resources, or to detect the angry tone of an email and send it
to a trained expert in this case.

17 | P a g e
With an intelligent automation platform powered by AI, other projects will
become clearer. Many platforms have a discovery process that tracks employee activity and
helps identify repetitive tasks that may be good candidates for automation. And, the AI
solutions you implement will improve over time. AI continues to evolve and learn as it is fed
more data. (Jim, 2023)

Autonomous vehicles:

Eliezer Yudkowsky, an American

computer scientist, argues that the biggest danger of
artificial intelligence is that people understand it and
jump to conclusions. Of course, most people don't. For
the record, autonomous vehicles, also known as
driverless automobiles, have a shared history with
artificial intelligence (AI), with scientists once dreaming
of building intelligent robots that can think and act on
their own. The best innovations in AI technology. Let's
explore a few advantages of these automobiles.

Identification Algorithms

Autonomous vehicles have neural networks and specialized algorithms. These are
artificial intelligence (AI) and machine language (ML) based object recognition algorithms.
These serve to collect data, analyze objects and make correct decisions while on the road.
These features also allow these smart machines to address problems ahead of time in real time
by predicting events through rapid data processing.

Autopilots

18 | P a g e
Recently, Tesla has developed self-driving electric cars with autopilot to enable
automatic steering functions, rapid braking, lane changing, and parking. Adding to these
features, these cars are capable of reducing emissions globally, a historic achievement for fuel-
powered vehicles. Today, some of the biggest cities on earth are home to autonomous cars.
Even driverless heavy trucks have been developed that can deliver goods over long distances.

In the crypto world, blockchain technology uses mathematical algorithms and logic
to create an automated system that is transparent and immutable. In the automotive world, the
combination of blockchain technology and autonomous cars is expected to create a better
autonomous system that increases the transparency and accuracy of decisions made by these
cars. (Jude, 2022)

Revolutionizing Healthcare

By 2021, it is
expected that the market value of AI in
the healthcare sector would be $6.6
billion. Artificial intelligence is gaining
popularity across various industries. But
AI is much more than that. AI experts
consider it a revolutionary technology
that could benefit many industries. The
impact of AI in the healthcare sector is
truly life-changing. In clinical procedures, medication development, surgery, and data
management, it promotes innovation. AI technology is also rapidly reaching hospitals. AI
applications are focused on three key areas of investment: digitization, engagement and
diagnostics. Looking at some examples of artificial intelligence in healthcare, it is clear that
there are exciting developments in incorporating AI into medical services.

19 | P a g e
Robotic doctors

AI is less exciting than robots. However, these are not the human droids of sci-fi movies. We
are referring to sophisticated, intelligent devices made for certain purposes. Using solely its AI
brain, a robot in China was able to pass the medical licensure test in 2017. In the same year,
the first semi-automated surgical robot was used to narrow blood vessels as small as 0.03mm.

Today's frontline hospitals are full of smart machines. Surgical

robots operate with precision that rivals even the best-trained surgeons. A Chinese dental robot
equipped with AI skills can perform complex and delicate dental procedures automatically.

What about robotic-assisted surgery?

Intelligent robots are also used as transportation units and as recovery and
counseling support. Transport nurse robots travel the hospital routes to deliver medical
supplies. Most of these robots are not fully autonomous. However, these machines show great
potential to change the way medical procedures are performed.

Precision medicine

Precision medicine is about providing the right treatment based on the patient's
characteristics and behavior. Adequate treatment is equally essential for correct diagnosis. This
mainly means the right prescription and recovery routines to get the best results. Precision
medicine relies on the interpretation of large amounts of data. Patient data is used to determine
the most effective drugs.

Data organization becomes a strong point for machine learning and AI

algorithms. AI-powered data management systems seamlessly store and organize vast amounts
of data to derive meaningful insights and predictions. Hospitals and other healthcare facilities

20 | P a g e
collect a lot of information from their patients. The data ends up on a hard drive or filing
cabinet. AI medication systems can navigate through these files to help doctors tailor
medications specifically for individual patients. AI prescription systems are now equipped to
deal with non-compliance with medical prescriptions. They accomplish this by researching the
patient's medical background and figuring out whether or not they are likely to take their
prescription as directed.

AI is here to stay. It will work with doctors instead of machines. The aim is
to provide health services that are more affordable and effective. Although AI is still a relatively
young technology in healthcare, the advancements made thus far are amazing. As this
incredible technology develops over time, we may anticipate advancements and new uses.
Improvements will not only be in the healthcare industry but in other areas as well.

21 | P a g e
Advanced Robotics

Over the years, manufacturing has advanced greatly. From the early days
of manual labor to today's modern automated
factories, the industry is always looking for ways
to improve efficiency and productivity.
Manufacturing has undergone a change in recent
years because to sophisticated robots and artificial
intelligence (AI). These technologies have
enabled manufacturers to automate more
processes, reduce costs and increase productivity.

The field of
technology known as robotics is concerned with the creation, maintenance, and use of
robots.AI, on the other hand, refers to a technology's capacity to carry out operations that
ordinarily need human intelligence, such as learning, solving problems, and making decisions.
(PlanetTogether, 2023)

Here are a few ways that robotics and AI will influence manufacturing in the future.

1. Increased automation

Robotics and AI will enable the automation of more manufacturing processes,

resulting in greater efficiency, accuracy and speed. This allows manufacturers to produce goods
quickly and at low cost, increasing their competitiveness in the global market.

2. Improved quality control

AI-powered inspection systems can quickly and accurately identify defects,

reducing the likelihood of defective products reaching consumers. Customers may be more
satisfied, and there may be less costly product recalls as a result.

22 | P a g e
3. Predictive maintenance

AI algorithms can analyze data from sensors and other sources to predict when
equipment needs maintenance, reducing downtime and extending the life of machinery.

4. Custom manufacturing

Robotics and AI enable manufacturers to mass-produce personalized products,

tailoring products to individual customer preferences.

5. Better supply chain management

AI algorithms can optimize inventory management, demand forecasting, and

supply planning, leading to more efficient supply chains and lower costs.

6. Improve worker safety

Robots can perform hazardous or repetitive tasks, reducing the risk of injury to workers.

In general, improved robots and AI allow producers to make items more precisely and
with more personalization while lowering costs and enhancing safety. As these technologies
continue to evolve, there is no doubt that they will play an increasingly important role in the
manufacturing industry.

Sophia's Artificial Intelligence

Hanson Robotics' most advanced

human-like robot, Sophia, embodies our dreams for the

Enhanced cyber security

Artificial intelligence (AI) is moving into

cybersecurity as its use becomes more widespread.AI may be
applied to enhance cyber security in a number of ways, including
automated attack detection and response, network efficiency, and
vulnerability discovery.

This article will explore the impact of AI on cyber security and how it can help your business
stay safe online.

24 | P a g e
Advantages of AI in Cybersecurity

Artificial intelligence has many benefits and uses, including cyber security. The
advantages and possible applications of artificial intelligence in cyber security are listed below:

1. Monitoring network traffic

A huge amount of data is exchanged between companies and their customers over a
corporate network. Hackers and anyone who wants to gain unauthorized access to this personal
information should be kept at bay. On the other hand, IT security experts cannot independently
assess this traffic.

2. Artificial intelligence detects unknown threats

Some dangers in a company may be beyond the scope of human perception. Hackers
launch hundreds of millions of attacks each year for a variety of reasons. An unknown threat
can cause catastrophic damage to a network. Even worse is the harm they may cause before
being discovered.

3. Risk Management

Proper risk management is the best approach to protecting a company's network.

This traffic must be detected, identified and prevented from entering the organization's network
due to the amount of data that passes through it.

4. AI learns more over time

Artificial intelligence technology is intelligent and leverages that intelligence to

continually improve network security. Identify patterns in the network and organize them into
groups. It then checks for security issues and responds accordingly.
25 | P a g e
5. Reduction of duplicate processes

Cybercriminals are always looking for new ways to infiltrate company networks and
steal their valuable data. We tend to use the same basic security measures every day. If human
security professionals are lazy or tired, your network can be exposed to attackers.

6. Better overall security

At any time, business networks face various dangers. Some attacks, such as denial of
service and ransomware, can occur simultaneously. As a result, prioritizing a corporation's
security activities is challenging.

7. Better endpoint protection

We use more and more devices at work and it is becoming increasingly difficult for
security experts to keep up. AI is becoming increasingly important in device security. Based
on known signatures, antivirus software and virtual private networks (VPNs) can defend your
computer from malware and ransomware.

8. AI can handle large amounts of data

Company networks are full of activity. Even in a medium organization, there is a lot
of traffic. A large amount of data is exchanged between customers and companies. People and
software must keep this information secure.

9. Risk Predictions

AI systems may be used to determine an inventory of your IT assets, both tangible

and intangible. These assets are a frequent target of cybercriminals. It is possible to predict

26 | P a g e
how and when a cyber-attack will emerge and prepare accordingly to devote resources to the
most vulnerable areas, thanks to AI in cyber security.

10. Secure Authentication

Personal information, such as usernames, passwords, credit card numbers and photo IDs, is
required daily by millions of business websites around the world. For this information to be
secure, organizations need an additional layer of security that protects the back end of the
website.

How can AI help stop cyber-attacks?

AI is becoming increasingly important in cyber security when used

with machine learning (ML). According to ZDNet, new malware and phishing techniques are
being detected by new security systems that scan vast amounts of data from millions of cyber
incidents. Some crooks are always ahead of the curve, modifying their malware so that
antivirus software doesn't flag it as malicious. Anti-malware protection systems benefit greatly
from machine learning, especially since it can use data from any previously discovered
malware type. Machine learning can help c initiatives. (https://elearningindustry.com/role-of-

and providing feedback, allowing them to focus more on teaching and less on
administrative tasks.

28 | P a g e
• Overall, the use of AI in education can lead to more personalized and effective learning
experiences, better learning outcomes for students, and more efficient teaching practices
for educators.

Smart cities

An emerging movement called "smart cities" uses AI to build more effective,

sustainable, and livable metropolitan areas. In order to optimize traffic flow, encourage citizen
engagement, enhance public safety, and consume less energy, smart cities can deploy AI. Using
real-time traffic signal adjustments depending on traffic volume and congestion, for instance,
AI-powered traffic management systems can improve traffic flow. Similar to this, AI-driven
public safety systems may identify occurrences and react to them, enhancing overall city safety.
AI can also lower energy use by evaluating and improving how buildings and other
infrastructure utilize energy. Generally speaking, the application of AI in smart cities can result
in more livable, sustainable, and effective urban settings for residents.

In addition to the advantages already outlined, AI can

enhance public engagement in smart cities. AI-powered chatbots, for instance, may be used to
give people immediate information and support on a range of city-related issues, including
parking, public transportation, and trash management. Through their smartphones or other
devices, citizens may communicate with these chatbots, providing them quick and simple
access to the information they require. Additionally, by examining social media and other
internet data to spot trends and patterns, AI may assist city authorities in identifying and
resolving public problems. This assists local government personnel in resolving issues and
raising general citizen satisfaction. Overall, the employment of AI in smart cities can result in
increased citizen participation, more effective and efficient public services.

Advances in AI Technology

AI technological advancements have altered how we work, live, and

interact with the world around us. A crucial area of growth is machine learning, which enables
computers to learn from experience and advance without being explicitly programmed.
Because of this, substantial advancements in fields like machine learning, predictive analytics,
and natural language processing have been made. Deep learning algorithms have also
fundamentally altered the field of neural networks, enabling the creation of more intricate and
precise models that can be used to a wide range of tasks. The creation of autonomous systems,
such as self-driving cars and drones, which utilize AI-powered sensors and algorithms to
traverse their surroundings and make choices in real time, is another significant area of
innovation. As AI technology advances we can expect significant developments in industries
such as healthcare, banking and manufacturing, allowing us to solve the most pressing
problems facing society right now.

30 | P a g e
Current state of AI technology

AI technology will improve quickly by 2022. Natural language processing,

computer vision, and machine learning have made major strides in recent years, making it
feasible for AI systems to carry out activities that were previously only conceivable for people.
For instance, computer vision algorithms can recognize and identify things in photos and
videos, and chatbots and virtual assistants powered by AI are increasingly capable of
understanding and responding to human language with high levels of accuracy.

Although adoption has more than

quadrupled since 2017, the percentage of enterprises employing AI1 has stayed constant in
recent years at 50 to 60 percent. A group of companies that see the highest financial benefits
from AI are ahead of the competition. The results show that these leaders are investing more
in AI, engaging in increasingly advanced practices known to develop faster and more scalable
AI, and showing signs of performing better in a tight market for AI talent. In terms of talent,
for the first time, we're taking a closer look at recruiting and improving AI talent. The data
shows that diversity in AI teams has significant room for improvement, and consistent with
other studies, diverse teams correlate with outstanding performance. (McKinsey, 2022)

First, AI adoption has more than doubled.

In 2017, 20% of respondents reported using AI in at least one area of business, and today that
number is 50%, but that rose to 58% in 2019.

31 | P a g e
The average amount of AI skills employed by businesses, such as computer
vision and natural language production, has increased from 1.9 in 2018 to 3.8 in 2022. Among
these capabilities, robotic process automation and computer vision are the most common.
Running every year, natural language text understanding has moved from the middle of the
pack to the front of the computer vision backlist in 2018. (McKinsey, 2022)

32 | P a g e
However, the top use cases have remained relatively stable: Service Operations
Optimization has been ranked number one for each of the past four years.

33 | P a g e
Second, the level of investment in AI is increasing and has increased with
development. For example, five years ago, 40% of respondents in organizations using AI
reported that more than 5% of their digital budget went to AI, and now more than half of
respondents report that level of investment. Looking ahead, 63 percent of respondents said they
expect investment in their organizations to increase over the next three years.

34 | P a g e
Third, specific areas where companies see value in AI have evolved. In
2018, the two functions where most respondents claimed finding value in employing AI were
production and risk. Today, the largest reported revenue impacts are marketing and sales,
product and service development, and corporate finance and strategy, with respondents
reporting the highest cost benefits of AI in supply chain management. The final value derived
from AI remains strong and largely stable. This year, nearly a quarter of respondents reported
at least 5 percent of their organizations' EBIT attributable to AI in 2021, consistent with
findings from the previous two years we tracked this metric. (McKinsey, 2022)

35 | P a g e
Finally, one thing that remains worryingly constant is the level of risk mitigation
that organizations engage in to strengthen digital trust. While the use of AI has increased, there
has not been a significant increase in AI-related risk mitigation since 2019, when we began
collecting this data.

36 | P a g e
Emerging trends in AI research and development

There are several emerging

trends in AI research and development that are
shaping the future of the field. One of the most
significant trends is the development of artificial
general intelligence (AGI), which seeks to create
machines that can learn and reason like humans.
Another trend is the increasing use of deep learning
techniques, which enable machines to learn from
large amounts of data and make decisions based on
complex patterns. Reinforcement learning, which involves training machines through trial and
error, is also an important area of research. Additionally, there is growing interest in using AI
to solve complex problems in fields such as healthcare, finance, and transportation. Finally,
there is a growing focus on developing AI systems that are more transparent, accountable, and
ethical, in order to address concerns around bias, privacy, and security. These emerging trends
are likely to shape the future of AI research and development and will enable the development
of more sophisticated and impactful AI applications that benefit society in a wide range of
ways. (Geri, 2023)

Top 10 AI trends in 2023

1. Creative or Generative AI

Machine learning's area of "generative

AI" uses an existing data set to produce new
information or content. To provide results that are as
near to the actual input data from the real world as
possible. Deep learning techniques are used by this
kind of AI to identify patterns and characteristics in

37 | P a g e
the data collection, which might include code, text, photos, audio, video, or other sorts of data.
There are several uses for generative AI already. Here are three popular examples created by
the San Francisco-based AI research company OpenAI that will still be in high demand in
2019:

Generative Transformer Pre-Training 3 (GPT-3)

Developed in 2020, GPT-3 is a

language prediction model that "auto-
completes" text after studying millions of web
pages and scientific articles on the Internet.
GPT-3 has 175 billion machine learning
parameters. This generative AI product drives
current copywriting tools that generate human-
like written content after being fed context such as titles, descriptions, or introductory
sentences. However, GPT's output may contain biases because it comes from previously
published content that may have racial, religious or gender biases. (Geri, 2023)

ChatGPT

ChatGPT is a bot version of GPT-3

that started in November 2022. It is a large
language model capable of answering questions
and carrying out instructions after being "trained"
by human conversations and human-written
Internet content. By studying human feedback
sources like Reddit, this AI "learned" what people
expect when asking others, a question: the
"human style" of answering. OpenAI created ChatGPT to simulate conversational
conversations with humans. Because bots can create and organize human-sounding lists and

38 | P a g e
articles, the industry envisions its widespread use as office assistants and customer service
support.

Some of the concerns associated with ChatGPT are its potential

use for writing essays and academic papers. However, the content you generate may include
gibberish or even incorrect information. To stop inaccurate information from being spread in
customer support settings, performance audits of ChatGPT can be required. (Geri, 2023)

DALL-E

DALL-E was the most popular of the three

OpenAI designs in 2022 due to its graphic design
features. The product's name comes from Spanish
surrealist Salvador Dali and the robot from Pixar's
2008 animated film WALL-E. You can create drawings
by entering a description, and DALL-E generates
multiple versions. Or you can create a new image from
an existing image via SMS. Users can "paint" or
remove parts of an image and replace it with something
else. Or they can "painting out", where DALL-E can
add more to an original photo (main subject or
landscape). These capabilities make DALL-E a useful
tool for the creative marketing and branding industries.

Predictions for AI in 2030

A report published by Harvard University presents eight areas of human

activity where artificial intelligence technologies are already affecting urban life. It will
become more pervasive by 2030: transportation, home/service robots, healthcare, education,
entertainment, low-income communities, public safety, employment and the workplace will be
fully AI-enabled spaces. Some of the biggest challenges in the next 15 years will be creating
safe and reliable hardware for self-driving cars and healthcare robots. building public trust in
artificial intelligence systems, especially in low-income communities; And overcome the fear
that technology will marginalize people in the workplace. We have seen many advances in data
analysis. For example, Watson, IBM's suite of algorithms, is very impressive at managing large
amounts of data and at ways of structuring data so that you can see patterns that wouldn't
otherwise emerge. It has been an important leap. But often people confuse that leap with the
way we think about machine intelligence and intelligence for humans, and that's not true. So,
the great advances we've made recently in data analysis are important, but they also give people
a lot of room to help these systems. (Satavisa, 2023)

new opportunities and increase economic growth, it is important that governments and

42 | P a g e
organizations work to address the potential negative impacts of AI on jobs and support workers
that may be displaced as a result of automation. (Calum, 2023)

Another potential impact of AI on jobs is the changing nature of

work. As AI and automation become more prevalent, many traditional jobs are likely to
transform or even disappear altogether, leading to significant changes in the skills and
knowledge required for many careers. This can lead to increased demand for employees with
technical and analytical skills, as well as those with the ability to work collaboratively and
think creatively. In addition to affecting the number and nature of jobs available, AI may also
affect the way work is organized and distributed. For example, the rise of AI-enabled platforms
and sharing economy platforms could lead to greater fragmentation and inflexibility of the
labor market, which could have implications for worker rights and security.

It is also important to consider the potential social and ethical

implications of AI in employment. Displacement of workers in certain industries, for example,
can exacerbate existing inequalities and create social unrest. Furthermore, the use of AI in
recruitment and hiring processes may perpetuate existing biases and discrimination.

Overall, the impact of AI on jobs is

uncertain and complex, and it is clear that organizations and governments need to proactively
address the potential impacts on workers and society as a whole. This could include investing
in training and coaching programs, supporting workers displaced by automation, and

The widespread use of AI is expected to have a significant impact on the job market by 2030.
While it's hard to predict exactly which jobs will be most affected, there are certain trends and
industries that could see significant changes. One trend expected to continue is the automation
of routine and repetitive tasks. This can affect a wide range of industries, from manufacturing
to customer service. Jobs that involve manual labor, data entry, or simple decision-making are
particularly vulnerable to automation. Conversely, jobs that require creativity, social
intelligence, and complex problem-solving are less likely to be automated.

44 | P a g e
Another trend expected to emerge is the
growing importance of human-machine collaboration. As AI systems become more complex,
they are likely to replace human workers, working alongside them to increase efficiency and
productivity. Workers may need to develop new skills, such as the ability to communicate and
collaborate effectively with AI systems. At the same time, the growth of AI is likely to create
new job opportunities in fields such as data science, machine learning and AI development.
These jobs require employees with advanced technical skills such as programming and data
analysis, as well as the ability to work collaboratively and think creatively.

In general, the impact of AI on the labor market is

complex and multifaceted. AI can eliminate or transform some jobs, while technology can
create or augment others. It will be important for workers, organizations and governments to
actively manage the impact of AI on the labor market to ensure that the benefits of the
technology are distributed fairly and equitably. (Calum, 2023)

Ethics and Governance of AI

Overview of AI Ethics and Governance

Artificial intelligence (AI) has enormous potential to revolutionize

the world, but it also poses complex ethical and governance challenges. As AI technology
continues to advance and become more integrated into various aspects of society, it is
increasingly important to consider the ethical implications of its development and
deployment.AI ethics is the set of ethical principles and values that govern the design,
development, and use of AI systems. It involves identifying potential risks and harms
associated with AI, developing strategies to mitigate those risks, and ensuring that AI is
developed and used in ways that benefit society as a whole.

AI
governance, on the other hand, involves setting policies and regulations to govern the
development and use of AI. This includes issues such as data privacy, transparency,
accountability and fairness. Effective AI governance is critical to ensuring that AI is used in

48 | P a g e
ways that promote the public good and that its development and deployment is guided by
ethical principles.

Some of the key ethical and

governance challenges associated with AI include bias and discrimination, the impact of AI on
jobs and the economy, and the potential for AI to be used in ways that threaten privacy and
security. Addressing these challenges will require collaboration between researchers,
policymakers, industry leaders and other stakeholders to ensure that AI is developed and
promoted in a manner that is socially responsible and respects human rights.

In recent years, the importance of AI ethics and governance has

been increasingly recognized, and many governments and organizations are taking steps to
develop guidelines and regulations in this area. Developing ethical frameworks and
governance structures for AI is essential to ensure that this powerful technology is used in ways
that benefit society and promote human well-being. (jerom, 2019)

Potential ethical challenges posed by AI in 2030

As AI technology continues to advance and become more integrated into various

aspects of society, it is important to consider the ethical challenges that may arise in the future.
Some of the key ethical challenges posed by AI in 2030 include:

Bias and Discrimination: One of the biggest ethical challenges associated with AI is the
potential for bias and discrimination. AI systems are only as unbiased as the data they are
trained on, and if there are biases in that data, the resulting AI system can maintain those biases.
In 2030, as AI becomes more ubiquitous, it risks reinforcing and amplifying existing biases
and discrimination, particularly in areas such as hiring, credit scoring, and criminal justice.

49 | P a g e
Job Displacement: Another big ethical challenge associated with AI is the potential for job
displacement. As AI systems become smarter, they can increasingly replace human workers in
a wide range of industries. This can have significant economic and social consequences,
especially for workers who lack the skills and education needed to adapt to a changing labor
market.

Privacy and security: AI systems are highly data-dependent and, as they become more
complex, can present significant privacy and security risks. In 2030, as AI integrates into more
areas of society, there is a risk that it could be used to collect and analyze large amounts of
personal data without adequate protection.

Automated decision-making: As AI systems become more advanced, they risk making

decisions that are difficult to understand or question. In 2030, as AI is increasingly used to
make decisions in areas such as healthcare, finance and criminal justice, it risks making unfair,
biased or unethical decisions.

Human control: Finally, one of the main ethical challenges associated with AI is the question
of human control. As AI systems become more advanced, there is a risk that they will become
difficult to control or even understand. By 2030, AI will be so advanced that it will be difficult
for humans to control it, which could have significant consequences for society as a whole.

As AI technology continues to advance, it is important to consider the ethical

challenges that may arise. One of the main concerns is the potential for biased algorithms to
perpetuate existing inequalities and discrimination. For example, if an AI system is trained on
skewed data, it may produce skewed results. This can have negative consequences in areas
such as recruitment, lending and criminal justice. In addition, there is an issue of privacy and
data protection as AI systems can collect and analyze large amounts of personal information.

50 | P a g e
There is also the issue of liability, as it can be difficult to determine who is responsible if an AI
system causes harm or makes a mistake. These ethical challenges will need to be addressed
through effective governance frameworks and regulations to ensure responsible and ethical use
of AI.

Strategies for Responsible and Ethical AI Development and Deployment

To address the potential ethical

challenges of AI, there are several strategies for
responsible and ethical development and deployment of
AI. One approach is to promote transparency and
explain ability of AI systems, explaining how decisions
are made and enabling human oversight. This helps
reduce the risk of biased results and increases
accountability. Another strategy is to prioritize ethical
considerations in the design and development of AI
systems from the start. This means considering the potential impact of AI on society and
individuals and taking steps to mitigate any negative consequences. For example, an artificial
intelligence system designed for recruiting might be designed to reduce bias by removing
identifying information from job applications.

In addition, the development and implementation of AI

requires collaboration among various stakeholders, including researchers, developers, policy
makers, and representatives of affected communities. This helps to ensure that ethical
considerations are taken into account at every stage of the process.

Finally, an effective governance and

regulatory framework is needed to ensure that AI is used responsibly and ethically. This could
include standards and guidelines for the ethical development of AI, as well as regulatory
oversight to ensure compliance. Ultimately, developing and implementing responsible and
ethical AI will require a multidisciplinary approach, with ongoing attention and effort to
address new challenges and emerging issues.

51 | P a g e
Another important strategy for responsible and ethical AI development is
prioritizing user privacy and data protection. AI systems often rely on large amounts of
personal data to function, and it is important to ensure that this data is collected, stored and
used in a manner that is transparent and respects individual rights. This may include
implementing strict data protection measures and allowing users to control their data, such as
the ability to opt out of data collection or request its deletion.

Another key concern is ensuring that AI systems are developed and

deployed in an inclusive and accessible manner. This includes designing systems that take into
account the needs of different communities and ensure that there are no unintended
consequences or biases that may adversely affect marginalized groups. It also involves making
AI technology accessible to individuals and organizations that lack the resources or technical
expertise to develop their own systems. Finally, mechanisms need to be developed to
continuously monitor and evaluate AI systems, to ensure that they operate ethically and
responsibly over time. This could include regular audits and evaluations of AI systems, as well
as ongoing monitoring of their impact on society and people. By adopting these strategies and
taking a proactive approach to responsible and ethical AI development, it is possible to
minimize AI's potential risks and maximize its potential benefits. (jerom, 2019)

greater accuracy in diagnosing cancer patients, many of them can be treated or cured to a non-
fatal stage, saving many lives.

• Early detection of malignant blood diseases

Artificial intelligence is proving to be of great help in early detection of

potentially fatal blood-related diseases. With the help of AI-enhanced microscopes, doctors can
now look for harmful substances and bacteria in blood samples, such as Staphylococcus, E.
coli, etc., at a much faster speed compared to the speed of manual scanning. More than 25,000
photos of blood samples were used by the researchers to train the robots to recognize dangerous
pathogens. AI allowed machines to learn to recognize these bacteria in blood, predict their
presence in new samples with 95 percent accuracy, and reduce mortality by a wide margin.

gestures. One of the most useful AI applications in healthcare is providing patients with a
personalized experience in managing their health and clearing their queries. Reduces the
frequency of hospital visits, benefiting both patients and healthcare professionals.

• Treatment of rare diseases

BERG is an AI-based clinical-stage biotechnology platform that works to map

disease to accelerate the discovery and creation of advanced drugs and vaccines, transforming
healthcare access. It uses research and development (R&D) and questionable biology to enable
medical professionals to create stronger products for patients fighting rare diseases. BERG has
also advanced its discovery to treat Parkinson's disease. The disease is a brain disorder that
causes stiffness, tremors, and difficulty performing simple tasks such as balance, coordination,
and walking. Parkinson's symptoms start slowly and get worse over time, making it one of the
worst diseases. BERG uses artificial intelligence to link previously unknown relationships
between chemicals in the human body. This shows that AI is helping the healthcare industry
immensely and will continue to do so in the future.

• Targeted treatment

With the help of technologies like deep learning and AI, Benevolent AI was
able to deliver the right treatment at the right time to the patients who need it, resulting in better
patient targeting and insights. The company is working to license its drugs and create portable
drugs for rare diseases.

• Automating redundant healthcare tasks

Another important role of artificial intelligence and its tools in healthcare is

that it automates unnecessary and time-consuming tasks. This gives administrators some free
time to continue with other important and necessary tasks. Olive is an AI-powered platform

that automates various processes like checking eligibility of unadjudicated medical claims,
transferring required medical data to relevant medical professionals. Olive easily integrates
with a hospital's existing tools and software, eliminating the need for costly downtime and
integrations.

• Medical records management

Healthcare is among the next big data frontiers to be tamed. Like a needle in a
haystack, meaningful and valuable data can get lost in a big data pile, costing the industry
billions of dollars a year. Furthermore, without being able to connect meaningful data points,
proper diagnosis and the development of new drugs and medicines are slowed. Data Science
in Healthcare Several healthcare organizations have turned to AI to stem the data
hemorrhaging. AI allows them to break down data and connect the necessary data that took
years to process.

• Robotic Assisted Surgery

Recently, robotic surgery has become very popular. Hospitals operate several
robots that help complete tasks that require precision, control, and flexibility. It is used for
tasks beyond human capabilities, including open heart surgery. Robots combined with
mechanical arms, cameras and necessary surgical instruments increase the knowledge, skills
and experience of doctors and create a new type of surgery. This allows surgeons to sit at a
computer console and control the robot's mechanical arms, while the robot provides a
magnified, 3D view of the surgical site that your naked eye cannot see. AI-enabled robotic-
assisted surgeries result in fewer complications, less pain for patients, and faster recovery rates.

about the advantages and disadvantages of this technology in the field of health.

Expected Impact of AI on Healthcare by 2030

Artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to transform healthcare in several

ways by 2030. A significant impact of AI in healthcare is improving patient outcomes. AI is
already being used in image recognition and interpretation to more accurately and quickly
diagnose various medical conditions such as cancer, heart disease and other diseases. AI is also
expected to support personalized medicine by developing personalized treatment plans based
on a patient's genetics and medical history. This allows doctors to provide personalized
treatment that is more effective and reduces the risk of adverse reactions.

Another expected impact of AI in healthcare is to improve

operational efficiency. AI can be used to automate various administrative and operational tasks
such as appointment scheduling, patient tracking and electronic record keeping. This helps
reduce the burden on healthcare workers and frees up their time to focus on more critical
tasks.AI is also expected to improve drug discovery and development by reducing the time and
resources needed for clinical trials. AI algorithms can be used to analyze large amounts of data
to identify new drug targets and develop more effective treatments.

57 | P a g e
Ultimately, AI is expected to improve patient engagement by
providing more personalized and accessible healthcare. AI-powered chatbots and virtual
assistants can be used to provide fast and accurate medical information to patients, reducing
the need for face-to-face interaction with healthcare providers. This improves patient
satisfaction and ensures that patients receive timely medical care.

AI can now reveal patterns in vast quantities of data that are too
subtle or complex for humans to descry. It does so by adding up information from multiple
sources that in 2020 were stuck in silos, including connected home bias, medical records and
decreasingly non-medical data.

In 2030, the ability of healthcare systems to provide truly forward-thinking and predictable
healthcare will be the first significant effect.

• AI-Powered Prophetic Care

AI and prophetic analytics can help us understand further about the

colorful factors in our lives that impact our health, not just when we might catch the flu or the
medical conditions we have inherited, but also where we were born, what we eat, and more.,
where we work, what our original air pollution situations are, or whether we've access to safe
casing and a stable income. The World Health Organization (WHO) refers to these as "Social
Determinants of Health" (SDOH). In 2030, this means that health systems can anticipate when
a person is at threat of developing a habitual complaint, for example, and suggest preventative
measures before it gets worse. This development has been so successful that rates of diabetes,
cardiovascular insufficiency, and COPD (habitual obstructive heart complaint), which are
explosively affected by SDOH, are eventually dwindling.

• Network Hospitals, Connected Care

With predictive care comes another improvement related to where
that care takes place. In 2030, a hospital is no longer a large building covering a wide range of
diseases; Instead, it focuses on highly complex and acutely ill procedures while monitoring
and treating less urgent cases through smaller centers and spokes such as retail clinics,
ambulatory surgery centers, specialty care clinics and people's homes.

These stations are connected to a single digital

infrastructure. To track supply and demand across the whole network in real time, centralized
command centers examine location and clinical data. This network may eliminate bottlenecks
in the system, guarantee that patients and healthcare personnel are guided to where they can
be best serviced or where they need to be, in addition to utilizing AI to detect patients at risk
of deterioration. The glue that holds this web together is no longer the place. Instead, the
experience of the people you serve brings us to the third big change in 2030. (Carla, 2020)

59 | P a g e
• Better patient and staff experience

Why is experience so important? For patients, research has long shown that
it can have a direct impact on whether or not they get better. For doctors, improving work
experience became increasingly urgent: A decade ago they began to suffer from high burnout
rates, largely due to the stress of trying to help so many patients with so few resources.

In 2030, wait times will be cut, staff

processes will be improved, and ever-growing administrative duties will be handled by AI-
powered predictive healthcare networks. As AI is used in clinical practice, doctors will
increasingly rely on it to enhance their skills in areas such as surgery and diagnosis.

Potential ethical considerations for AI in Healthcare

The increased use of AI in healthcare presents several ethical issues that

need to be addressed. Job losses are a major issue for healthcare workers, especially those in low-skilled
positions that could be replaced by automation. Additionally, there is a risk of data bias and
discrimination if algorithms are trained on biased data sets or used in a discriminatory manner. Ensuring
AI systems are transparent and accountable is critical to avoid unintended consequences. Another
important ethical consideration is privacy and security. As AI systems are data-driven, it is essential to
protect sensitive patient information and ensure that it is not misused or accessed by unauthorized
persons. Finally, there are concerns about the potential for AI to address existing health care disparities,
particularly for underserved populations that may not have access to the same resources or technology.
Addressing these ethical issues requires a collaborative effort between health care providers, policy
makers, and AI developers.

In addition to these ethical considerations, there are also concerns about

AI's potential to personalize healthcare and create a disconnect between patients and healthcare
providers. Because AI systems are designed to process large amounts of data quickly, they run
the risk of missing important contextual information or missing subtle clues that are critical to
effective diagnosis and treatment. This can lead to a loss of empathy and patient-centered care.

60 | P a g e
To address this, it is important to ensure that AI is not used as a substitute for human care, but
as a tool to improve and support clinical decision-making.

Another concern is the potential for AI to reinforce existing biases and

inequities within the healthcare system. This can happen if AI algorithms are trained on skewed
data sets or used to make decisions that disproportionately affect certain populations. For
example, if an AI system is used to predict the likelihood of readmission to a hospital, it may
inadvertently discriminate against patients from lower socioeconomic backgrounds who may
not have access to the same resources as wealthier backgrounds. To avoid this, it is important
to ensure that AI systems are designed to minimize bias in data and algorithms.

Finally, there are concerns about the ethical implications of using AI to

make life-and-death decisions. For example, if an AI system is used to decide who gets an
organ transplant, there may be questions about the fairness and transparency of the decision-
making process. Establishing clear ethical guidelines and frameworks for the use of AI in such
situations is critical to ensure responsible and transparent decision-making.

Overall, while AI has the potential to revolutionize healthcare by

improving patient outcomes and reducing costs, it is imperative to address the ethical
considerations and potential risks associated with its use. Developing responsible and ethical
frameworks for the development and deployment of AI can ensure that AI is used to support
equitable healthcare for all, rather than replace human care.

biases, such as discriminating against certain groups of students based on factors such as race
or gender. Additionally, since many AI systems rely on extensive data collection and analysis,
there may be questions about the appropriate use of data and privacy protections, particularly
of students. AI-based educational tools risk being overly reliant on human educators to their
disadvantage, or they may foster a one-size-fits-all approach to teaching that fails to take into
account individual needs and learning. of students. Fashion. Finally, there may be concerns
about the potential for AI in education to exacerbate existing socioeconomic disparities by
providing unequal access to advanced educational technologies and resources. As AI continues
to integrate into the education system, it will be important for developers, educators, and
policymakers to carefully consider these and other ethical issues.

The employment of AI in education might lead to a number of ethical

problems. The potential for AI to reinforce or maintain existing biases in educational
institutions is a key cause for worry. This may occur if the AI systems' algorithms are trained
on biased data, which might result in erroneous or biased student ratings. Another issue is the
potential for employing AI to spy on or forecast the conduct of students, which might be
construed as a breach of student privacy. Concerns exist over the function of instructors as well
64 | P a g e
