TASK 2: Interview at least 2 teachers in Dep-Ed (1 public and 1 private)
a. Ask them the format of their lesson plans. Ask tips on how they prepare quality teaching
and how to conduct effective teaching demonstration.
Private teacher: Based on what I applied to my students before I teach them I make sure that
everything is prepared in terms of IM's, learning materials, etc. and most especially you
should be physically and mentally prepared. When it comes to effective demonstrations, what
I want to share is be prepared and clear with your objectives, have confidence in front of the
class and engage the audience. You must use varied instructional materials and foster two-
way communication flow. Lastly check your students understanding by assessing their
knowledge on your lesson by giving them quiz and etc.
Public teacher: As a public school teacher, preparing quality teaching and conducting
effective teaching demonstrations require careful planning and preparation. First and
foremost, know your audience, so before planning the lesson, consider the age, interests, and
learning needs of the students. This will ensure that the lesson is appropriate and engaging.
Next is set clear learning objectives, in order to determine what you want your students to
achieve by the end of the lesson. Make sure your objectives are specific, measurable, and
achievable. Then it will enter in planning the lesson, since I am Math teacher, it is expected
that my lesson will probably focus on mathematics, so I need to plan of fun and engaging
activities related on my subjects in order for my students to achieve the learning objectives.
Also, Using various teaching strategies, incorporate different teaching strategies into the
lesson to engage different learning styles. For example, lectures, group work, discussions,
and hands-on activities. Engage the students, encourage active participation and engagement
from the students by asking questions, allowing for discussion, and providing feedback.
Lastly, evaluate the lesson, after the teaching demonstration, reflect on your performance and
gather feedback from your students and colleagues and use this feedback to improve future
lessons. Remember that teaching is a continuous learning process, and it takes time and effort
to develop effective teaching skills. An effective teaching demonstration is not only about
delivering content but also about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment
for the students. Continuously strive to improve the teaching techniques and adapt to the
needs of the students.
Private teacher: In my class the rules that I just set to them is to have respect not just to me
but also with their classmates especially when someone is talking in front. Also punctuality
and active participation in my class.
Public teacher: The rules I set in classroom are: Be on time. Love Respect each
other.Participate Actively in class. Be Responsible. Listen carefully and Speak Politely.
Follow Directions properly.
Public teacher: When arranging groupings and facilitating discussions, it's important to
consider the learning goals, the dynamics of your class, and the specific needs of your
students. Flexibility and adaptability are key to ensuring that every student has the
opportunity to actively participate and contribute to the learning process. Assigning students
to pairs or small groups randomly can help promote diversity and encourage collaboration
among students who may not typically interact. The very common in terms of creating a
group. This can be done by using random name generators or by simply numbering or
lettering students and pairing them up accordingly. Also, grouping students based on their
abilities, interests, or learning styles can be beneficial for targeted instruction. Above
mentioned are some of my strategies in terms of grouping my students, there are different
types of assigning or grouping students, based on what you (the teacher) like or style.
1. How should teachers from various levels established power and responsibility inside
the classroom, consider the learners developmental level?
Establishing power and responsibility inside the classroom is important for teachers at
different levels considering the learners' developmental level. Here are some simple strategies
to achieve this, firstly, clearly communicate your expectations to students, so they understand
what is required of them. Provide regular feedback to students on their progress, highlighting
areas where they can improve. Offer students choices whenever possible, giving them a sense
of control over their learning. Encourage students to reflect on their actions and decisions,
helping them take responsibility for their learning. Be a role model by displaying positive
behavior and demonstrating how to handle challenges. Create a safe and inclusive learning
environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and asking questions. Give students
opportunities to collaborate and work together, fostering a sense of shared responsibility.
