SWOC Analysis
 S = Strength
 W = Weakness
 O = Opportunities
 C = Challenges

Strength

1) Flexibility
 I believe that I am good in adapting the challenging situations and environment.
 I try to remain calm in difficult phase
 I have alternate options if in case things doesn’t go as planned.

2) Adaptability
 I can say that I am an adaptable person because I can adjust to Changes or new situation.
 During my second semester, I decided to get admitted in the college hostel where , the scnerio
was very different from my home.
 I was easily able to adjust in the hostel.

3) Problem Solving Skills


 I always give my best to solve the problems in my life and try to not give up easily.
 I believe in critical thinking to solve problems.
 I always try to solve problems in an easier way.

4) Open-Minded
 I feel that I am an open-minded person.
 I can usually see things from multiple perspective and I am ready to learn from others.

5) Approachable
 I am Very approachable.
 People tend to find me likable and non-threatening which helps me in social situations.
 If any of my classmates need some information or some help, they directly approach me without
any hesitation.
6) Compassionate
 I believe that I am a compassionate person.
 I will show concern for others who are in need.
 I will try to help them if required.

Weakness

1) Poor Time Management


 I have poor time management skills and often find that I am rushed at the end of a job to get it
done on time.
 I will need to create a series of milestones to keep myself on track.

2) Worry
 I worry about making mistakes.
 This often prevents me from taking actions.

3) Lack of Leadership
 I haven’t developed strong leadership skills, so it will be hard to get people to follow my vision.

4) Poor Writing Skills


 I have poor writing skills that make it hard for me to meet a particular goal.
 For example: Sometimes During my exams I find it difficult to write accurate answers with more
technical words.

5) Stage Fear
 I instantly get a little nervous whenever I am on stage for a job.
 I feel a little scared and anxious on the stage which sometimes lead to uttering and leads to
mistakes.
 That’s why I have a fear of participating in events.

6) Poor Language Skills


 I think my English Language skills are not strong.
 This can really get in the way of effective Communication.
 Sometimes while speaking in English, I mistakenly use wrong vocabulary.

Opportunities
1) New Software
 Being a Civil Engineering student, I have completed a course in learning a software Called
AutoCad, which is used for planning and designing of structures.
 Using this Software, I’ll be able to improve my skills as a Civil Engineer.

2) Upcoming Internships
 In my final year as major in Civil Engineering we will be having a mandatory Internship program
as per our college degree.
 I will get a chance to work on the construction sites as a civil engineering intern.
 Doing Internships will automatically will lead to rise in work experience.
 By doing internships I can develop skills and make social contacts that can help me reach my
goal.

3) Higher Studies
 I prefer that undergoing higher studies will be beneficial for me.
 Higher studies such as Masters in civil engineering or M.B.A will allow me to explore more job
opportunities.
 It can possibly lead to a greater earning potential.

Challenges

1) Financial State
 The Cost of education is increasing every year.
 The prices of reference books and textbooks are very high.
 The Expenditure of money in college stationary is also very high.

2) Increasing Competition
 The competition among Students in terms of every other thing is increasing in the college.

3) Bad Weather Conditions


 Bad Weather Conditions at important moments such as heavy rainfall, on the examination day
could interfere with everything.
 We might get late for examinations or lectures.

4) Computer Problems
 There are often Computer problems that I don’t predict that might cause delays.

5) Unexpected Heath Problems


 There may be unexpected health problems that could set me back in meeting my goals.
 Being Awake till late night for completing given works can also lead to health issues.
