Okay so before we formally start our lesson, we will
play “charades”. Are you familiar with the game of
charades class?

Great! This is the mechanics; the terms you will be


guessing are sports involving balls. There are papers in
this box that include sports, and all you have to do is (Students raised their hands)
guess what kind of sport it is. But keep in mind that you
can only guess the sports after your classmates perform.

“Introduction to Basic Ball Skills”.

Correct! But did you know ball catching is a fun activity


that enhances motor skills and active fun by requiring
coordination, timing, and hand-eye coordination. Another

That’s right! Throwing is a fundamental skill essential in

So overall, catching, throwing, and aiming for a target
are fundamental skills in basic ball skills. These skills are
essential in various sports and activities involving
ballgames.

Catching requires hand-eye coordination, tracking the
ball's trajectory, and positioning your hands or catching
implements to intercept the ball.

Next, what is “throwing”? (Students raised their hands)

Yes ? Throwing involves propelling the ball through the air


using your arm and hand.

Very good! And last for the last one what is “Aiming for
a target”? (Student raised their hands)

Yes ? Go ahead. Aiming enhances precision, accuracy, and overall


performance. It improves hand-eye coordination,
spatial awareness, and the ability to hit or reach a

E. Application
Now students we’re going to play a game which is called
“Dodge Ball” but here in the Philippines we called it
“Touching Ball”. Are you class familiar with this game?

that we’ve discussed by playing touching ball. Let’s go
