Start By:
a. Remove the motor.

1. Remove nut (1) and valve (2)
2. Remove O-ring seal (3), backup ring (4), O-ring seal (5), backup ring (6), O-ring seal (7),
and O-ring seal (8) from valve (2).
Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a

released spring force.
Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.
Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to

release the spring force.
3. Use a suitable press in order to remove retaining ring (9) and lock (10).
4. Remove housing (11).
5. Remove the O-ring seal from housing (11).


6. Remove springs (12).
7. Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retaining ring (13).
8. Remove piston (14).


9. Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retaining ring (15).
11. Remove spring (17).


12. Use a suitable press in order to remove pin (18).
13. Remove valve (19).
14. Remove the spring from valve (19).
15. Remove seals (20).
17. Remove seals (22).
18. Remove radial motor (23).
19. Use a suitable press, Tooling (B), Tooling (C), and Tooling (D) in order to remove retaining
ring (24).
20. Remove shim (25).
21. Use a suitable press and Tooling (C) in order to remove shaft (26).
22. Remove bearing cone (27).
23. Remove bearing cone (28) and seal (29).
24. Remove bearing cup (30) and lip seal (31).
25. Remove bearing cup (32).

Start By:
a. Remove the motor.


1. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to compress spring (2) while removing retaining ring
(2). Remove spring (2).
2. Use Tooling (B) in order to remove piston (3).
3. Remove O-ring seal (4) from housing (6).
4. Remove bolts (5) and housing (6).
5. Remove shims (7).
6. Remove external discs (8) and internal discs (9).


7. Remove shaft (10) and O-ring seal (11) from housing (13).
8. Remove bolts (12) and housing (13).
9. Remove valve group (14) from housing (13).
10. Remove backup rings (15) and O-ring seals (16) from valve group (14).
11. Remove O-ring seal (17) and seals (18) from housing (13).
12. Remove manifold (19).
13. Remove springs (20) from manifold (19).
14. Remove housing (21).
15. Remove rotor (22) and O-ring seal (23).
16. Use a suitable press and Tooling (C) in order to remove retaining ring (24).
17. Remove shim (25).
18. Use a suitable press to remove shaft assembly (26).
19. Use a suitable press to remove dust seal (27) and bearing cone (28) from shaft assembly
(26).
20. Remove bearing cone (29) and bearing cup (30).
21. Remove bearing cup (31) and lip seal (32) from housing (30).

1. Lower the temperature of bearing cup (32).
2. Install bearing cup (32).
3. Lower the temperature of bearing cup (32).
4. Install bearing cup (30) and lip seal (31).

5. Raise the temperature of bearing cone (28).
6. Install seal (29) and bearing cone (28).

11. Use a suitable press, Tooling (B), Tooling (C), and Tooling (D) in order to install retaining
ring (24).
12. Install radial motor (23).
13. Install seals (22).
14. Install piston (21).
15. Install seals (20).


16. Install the springs into valve (19).
17. Install valve (19).
18. Use a suitable press in order to install pin (18).
19. Install spring (17).


21. Use Tooling (A) in order to install retaining ring (15).


23. Use Tooling (A) in order to install retaining ring (13).
24. Install springs (12).


25. Install the O-ring seal onto housing (11).
26. Install housing (11).
27. Use a suitable press in order to install retaining ring (9) and lock (10).
28. Install O-ring seal (8), O-ring seal (7), backup ring (6), O-ring seal (5), backup ring (4), and
O-ring seal (3) onto valve (2).
29. Install valve (2) and nut (1).
End By:
a. Install the motor.
