5 Loop Test Procedure

Basically, calibration shall be witnessed by Owner. Contractor shall notify for the request of
witness in advance. Should any of the tests not be witnessed, Contractor can precede the test by
themselves under the confirmation of Owner's acceptance.

Adequate remote communication tools, i.e. radio contact shall be provided.
5.1.2 Basically, Function test shall be witnessed by Owner. Contractor shall be notified
for the request of witness in advance.
5.1.3 The following documents to be referred at CCR crew.
a. P&IDs.
b. Instrument set point and range list.
c. Instrument Loop drawing (Package vendors loop drawings will be used which
are available for loop test inside package).
d. Data sheet of filed Instrument (including vendor data sheets ).
e. Location Plant.
5.1.4 Field crew should bring location plant.

5.2 Loop Test Procedure

5.2.1 For the loop testing. set air and/or electrical supplies where applicable. In particular,
the air supply pressure for control valves and the other pneumatic actuators are to be
checked that they are set correctly in accordance with the specifications. (7 kg/cm2
g as normal).
5.2.2 Control valve stroke shall be checked at field to be operated as 0-50-100-50-0%
opening from DCS or package PLC. And stroke time to be recorded. Stroke
adjustment (i.e. 0. 50 or 100%) should be performed, if necessary.
5.2.3 On-off valve function shall be checked to energize or de-energize from DCS or SIS
and confirm 0-100% open/close at site and answer back from limit switch signals on
the DCS or SIS. And stroke time to be recorded. Stroke adjustment should be
performed, if necessary.
5.2.4 For pressure switch and level switch, their contact to be manually make and/or
break for ensuring the corresponding instrument's responses.
5.2.5 For Transmitter pressure, DP,LT,etc.( analog input smart transmitter) when inject
with hand held comunicator.monitor the indication on DCS HIS or SIS EWS in
accordance to its range and note the relevant alarm activation on the alarm report
screen
5.2.6 For resistance temperature detector (RTD), confirm it to show ambient temperature
and burn-out by disconnection.
5.2.7 For thermocouple such as Type-K and Type-R, confirm it to show ambient
temperature and bum-out by disconnection.
5.2.8 Analytical fire and gas detectors and special instruments shall be checked according

5,3 General Note

During loop testing, the following items shall generally be confirmed or checked:
5.3.1 In the control room or at the local panel:
a. Indication and output signal level on the DCS operator station or SIS EWS,
package PLC HMI or board mounted instruments.
b. Alarm function
Note : Set points should be reviewed and implemented based on master alarm
set point list outside of loop check. Some of set points may be changed for start
up purpose etc during commissioning or start activity. Any change of set points
shall require approval by the authorized person and recorded.
c. Range (Consistency of range between field instrument and System for analog
loop) The range should be checked outside of loop check.
d. Action of controllers of DCS/Package PLC (Direct or Reverse).

5.3.2 In the field:

a. Action of control valves including associated accessories, such as solenoid
valves, limit switches, etc.
b. Range of transmitters.
c. Indication of remote mounted output gauges where applicable.
d. Loop check can be started when the following reports are submitted.
- Installation Record (with remarks of tube connection and ASUKA punch)
- Calibration Record
- Wiring Test Record

6 HSE Task Analisys and Johan

The HSE focused task analisys has identified the following risks / hazards associated with this work
and a set job hazard analysis ( johan ) forms will be prepared for each / hazard see johan doc

Safety precaution:
a. Make sure the PPE is use Correctly
b. Make sure all equipment before using it in good condition and has passed inspection.
c. Ensure all employees who work above the level attended training working at heigth.
d. Use acces up and down and work, with scaffolding that has been in the inspection.
e. Ensure full body harness is hung acces strong and above the head.
f. In the work place should be displayed safety sign.
g. Barricade the work place.
h. Fit to work for working at height location.
