Based on the vocal range you provided, it sounds like you are a soprano. Sopranos generally have a range of C3-C6,

I don’t think you wrote your range properly, unless you really have a 4 octave and a 5th vocal range.
The dark green illustrates the average range of the voice type. (Middle C is C4)
If you did write your range incorrectly, then here are some reasons this may have happened. The first A, Bb, and B on the
piano are marked with a 0, they are not A1, Bb1, and B1, if you thought B0 was B1, then your vocal limit is B5. I assume you are
a woman, (because you asked if you were an alto or soprano) so, as a women there is a very small chance you can hit an E2, it
may be that you accidentally typed E2, instead of E3. E3 is very possible for a woman to sing.
Also, using only your range to classify yourself is not the best idea, you should take into account tessitura, (where your voice
is the most comfortable within your range) and timbre (quality of your tone).
If you actually have a vocal range of E2-B6, then you can’t classify your voice just from your range, because the range that you
put encompasses almost all of the voice types, you have to use the parameters that I listed.

Whether you are an alto or a soprano doesn't actually depend on your range, but on the “color” of your voice. If your voice
sounds deep even when you're singing the high notes, you're more likely an alto, but if your voice sounds light even when
singing the low notes, you might be a soprano. Soprano and alto aren't the only two types of voices to choose from though
and even between the both of them there are tons of variations like soprano spinto or others. Anyway it's hard to tell without
listening to you because in voice classification range is actually the second thing that matters.

Hey that is quite the range. If you would believe it, being and alto Or a soprano actually depends a lot on the tone of your
voice. If your voice is lighter and has a more floaty sound, you are most likely placed as a soprano. If your voice is more
forward and dark, you are an alto. With a range like that you can pick and choose, but you can definitely go pretty high

Related I am a 14-year-old female with a vocal range of Ab1-Bb7. Is this a good range? What voice type am I?
Sorry to break it to you, but this is subtle attention seeking. No 14 year old can sing an Ab1, although perhaps a Bb7 at your
age may be feasible as a faint whistle tone. Even if you did have that hypothetical range, it is still not determined by the range
of sounds you can produce. It is only the notes you can sing with proper technique and/or sing publicly on a consistent basis.

Related I am a 14-year-old female with a vocal range of Ab1-Bb7. Is this a good range? What voice type am I?
I do not intend to be rude, but there is almost no way that a 14 year old female could sing Ab1. Ab2 is still hard to believe. Ab3
is towards the lower range of an alto, and Ab2 is actually too low for most tenors as it lies at the very bottom of the baritone
range.
I am a trained male bass vocalist and have been singing for around 12 years. I have a wider range for a bass as I can hit up to
around G4. The lowest note I can hit is C2, a major third higher than Ab1.

I would say alto but you could pass as a soprano 2. To be a soprano 1 you have to be able to hit a c any day of the week but it
would depend on what part of your voice you're most comfortable singing in

Originally Answered: I am 14 years old, my vocal range is Ab1-Bb7, is this good? And what voice type am I?
The voice range you describe is extraordinary and it is unlikely you can perform in that range to any substantial quality. If you
can, you should be the lead vocalist of a jazz or rock band. If you can project, produce a pleasant tone, stay in tune, and
deliver your line with some musical or theatrical creativity, you will never lack for work, and you can make millions.

Related My vocal range is from B3-E5. Am I a soprano? And is that a good range?
Hi Julie, I see you are a high school student, correct? Here are some suggestions for you:
1. Use the Quora search to find similar questions and answers, you might learn something!
2. Since you aren’t yet an adult, your voice will continue to mature.
3. One’s voice may change throughout life, initially from natural maturation, and then depending on your health and so
on. Your range can also change with instruction, practice.
4. Specifically to your question, B3-E5 is not soprano range, although you may well have a soprano voice and you
haven’t yet “unlocked” your high notes. Seeing a voice teacher

I am assuming you are an untrained singer. So I would suggest getting a vocal teacher to train your voice and learn about your
strengths and weaknesses.

RelatedCan a singer be a bass, baritone, tenor, alto, mezzo-soprano, and soprano when their range is E2-D6 by
changing their vocal color and weight?
No. For the range aspect, tessitura and passagi determine vocal type. The extremes of the range are not used to determine
type.
However, if someone can sing healthily in a wider range, it's useful for singing popular music in the original key, even though
transposing still often makes more sense, to suit the most supported part of the range.
Alto is a choir role, not a voice type. The other voice types have additional classifications within them that depend on many
factors, including voice color, weight, and size.

An alto is a woman with a resonant chest voice, who favors her chest voice over her head voice. Most altos can sing in the
soprano range, but feel more comfortable singing in the lower register. If I absolutely had to pick a range, I'd say the chest
voice is typically from Eb3 to Bb4, with Bb4 as the passagio to the head voice. But that's not a science by any means. We had
a song this year where the Alto 2s had to sing down to a C3. That is very, VERY low for a woman. But they liked it because they
enjoy being special.
