Accomplishment Report in Project SIKAP
Academic Support Class—Week 1
2023-2024
The current study aims to gauge the relationship between the
academic support (supports from teachers) and academic
achievement of students; mediating role of science and technology.
Base from the international academic report Philippines is 3rd in
ranking from all the country with low science proficiency.

To aid and minimize the gap of learners academically specially in


science our DEPED Division of Pasay altogether with the local LGU
of the city initiate a project that will improve students knowledge
about Research and help those who are left behind in science.

Our school, Maricaban Elementary School fully support the Project


SIKAP of science and technology. The first day of school
implementation of the Project SIKAP was a success. All students are
present and being oriented by their Teacher—Implementer. They are
instructed to teach the student advance lesson base from DBOW to
help them cope-up in everyday lesson.

The second day of Project SIKAP starts with a brief review of the
first lesson they were taught. Teacher-implementers uses variety of
games to associate the lesson and motivate them that learning is
always fun in science. This is also the time they were given
activities to answer and some pair-think-share activities to scaffold
each other.
