Zenar Diode

This document describes how to draw the characteristic curve of a Zener diode and determine its breakdown voltage. The forward bias characteristic is measured first by varying the voltage in steps and recording the current. Then, the reverse bias characteristic is measured by again varying the voltage in steps and noting the current, which sharply increases at the breakdown voltage point. Plotting the voltage and current measurements on graphs produces the characteristic curves of the Zener diode.
