Instructions for Group Project (Technical Specifications Writing)

1. Groupings
• The number of groups shall be eight (8) and group members shall be the same as the
group members during the debate.
• The group numbering shall be the same as the group numbering during the debate.
• If a student did not participate in the debate during the Midterm, he/she shall join a
group that has few members. Post this updated group in messenger chat group (GC).
2. Drawing/Plan Dissemination
• Your instructor will provide 3 sets of drawings marked Drawing 1, Drawing 2, and
Drawing 3. These drawings will be uploaded to the google drive. The link to the google
drive will be provided in the GC. The folder of the drive where these drawings are
located is named “Reference Drawings”.
• These drawings will be the basis for the Technical Specifications as a COMPLIMENTARY
DOCUMENT. The assumption is that the details provided in the drawings shall compose
the whole Scope of Works.
• The drawing that will be assigned to each group shall be as follows:

3. Group Project Requirements


• The formatting of the document’s front page, table of contents and body will be given by
your instructor.
• The Technical Specifications shall have Civil, Structural and Architectural Works only. Do
not include other disciplines like Electrical Works and Mechanical Works. Plumbing
Works will be optional (to be included or not).
• The deadline for submission is November 29, 2023.
• Your output shall have a minimum of 10 pages, excluding the Front Page and Table of
Contents.
4. Regarding References
• The reference Technical Specifications are comprehensive and their contents are
expected to cover the Works specified in the Drawings disseminated. The student can
“copy and rephrase” the entries in the reference Technical Specifications if those entries
are applicable to the Works specified in the Drawings assigned to the group. Please take
note that the student shall rephrase it and shall not copy every word.
