x= 1050 / 1400 = 3/4

2. If 15 men can complete a work in 12 days, then how many men are required to
complete the work in 60 days?

Answer: B

M1 × D1 = M2 × D2

15 × 12 = M2 × 60

i.e., 15× 12 ⁄ 60 = 3

3. A person travels for 15 hours, the first half at 21 Km/ hr and the other half at 24
Km/hr. Find the distance travelled.

A) 336 Km

B) 346 Km

Answer: A

Average speed= 2XY / X + Y


Avg. Speed = 2 × 21 × 24 / 21 + 24 = 1008/ 45 = 22.4

Time: 15hrs

Distance = Speed × Time= 22.4 × 15 = 336 Km

Distance = Speed × Time
