ILLUMINATION, HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEMS PRACTICAL

TASK

You are required to plan and design the lighting system for the specified lecture rooms at
the department. Each group is required to;
1. Measure the dimensions of the room allocated.
2. Determine the required illumination level for example 400 lux on the working plane
for the current lecture room.
3. Find out the wattage of the current fluorescent light fittings and rated lumens for each.
4. Determine how the numbers of light fittings were designed for the lecture room.
5. Include all calculations in the report.
6. Use the previous groups for lab 1 to do the practical assignment.
7. Make appropriate recommendations that can be done.
