B. Objectives 1. Define what Biomechanics is.


2. Discuss the benefits of biomechanics and explain how it is used to improve athletic
performance.
3. Recognize the importance of Biomechanics to individual sports performance
C. Activities My Idol Athlete
- The teacher shows pictures of popular Filipino athletes
- The teacher asks questions such as: Do you know him/her? What does he/she do? Do you
want to be like him/her? How does he/she do it?
Scramble Letters
- The teacher presents descriptions/definitions of word/s related to Biomechanics and its importance
to sports
performance.
- The word/s are hidden in a form or scrambled letters.
- Students will identify the word/s being described.
Video Presentation (Biomechanics)
Move and Explain!
- The teacher will ask the students to analyze a certain movement in their sports event.
- The teacher will ask the student to explain what is the most common movement expected/executed
in that sport.
- The students will explain briefly the biomechanics applied in that specific movement.
