Question#4: - GUI and CLI are types of computer interface that’s allow the user to deal with computer
operating systems. GUI is easy to use because the user does not need to learn any commands can use
a pointing device to clicks and select icons or menu options (WIMP). Otherwise, takes up more
memory than a CLI interface and requires an operating system to operate. Where CLI the user has
more freedom to use specific command in interacting with the computer. Also, it is possible to alter
computer settings. But CLI the user needs to learn commands must be typed in without errors and no
visual aids.

• Augmented Reality: - Allow the user to experience the relationship between digital (virtual)
and physical (real) worlds. Virtual information and objects are overlaid onto real-world
situations the real world is enhanced with digital details, such as images, text and animation.
The user can experience the AR world through special goggles or via smartphone/phablet
screens. The user is not isolated from the real world and is still able to interact and see what is
going on in front of them

• Virtual reality: - is an artificial environment that is created with software. The user will
normally wear a head mounted display which will simulates their physical presence in places
in the real world or imagined worlds.

Augmented reality and virtual reality could affect society in the near future in the following: -

1. Training: Allow professionals to conduct training in a virtual environment without the threat
of any physical harm.

2. Education: Looking inside of an ancient building or ruins

3. Computer Games: users are able to immerse themselves into a gaming platform.

4. Sports: It is used as an aid to measuring athletic performance as well as analyzing technique

5. Construction: An organization can not only render the resulting structure in 3D but also
experience them as they would in the real world.

6. Safety and rescue operations (for example, it is possible to provide 3D images of an area
where a rescue mission is to take place, giving the team the opportunity to interact with the
environment and try out rescue procedures before doing the real thing)

7. Shopping and retail (this is one of the big areas – for example, using your smartphone camera
you can try out make-up and see how it looks on you before buying it, or you can experience a
virtual tour of a new car where you can ‘sit’ in the interior and try out the driving experience
before buying the car)
