Its not about working hard, getting rich is all about knowing what to do, who to do with, and when to do it. Moving on right direction is important, than doing fast. Seek wealth- wealth is having assets that earn while you sleep. If you can’t code write books and blogs, record videos and podcast. There is no skill as business, avoid business class and business magazines Use internet to make money. Learn to build and learn to sell, if you don’t know learn. The most important skill for getting rich is to become a perpetual learner, getting deeper into new things faster. Foundations are important. Study Micro economics, game theory, psychology, persuasion, ethics, mathematics and computers. You have to be deep into things then only you can be deep into the things. To get rich you need leverage. - labor, capital, code/media. People will forgive failures as long as you were honest and made a high integrity effort. Real wealth is created, starting your own companies or even by investing. The economic reward for genuine intellectual curiosity has never been higher. Think about what product/service wants but does not yet know how to get. You have to become the person who delivers it and delivers at scale. The most important and interesting form of leverage is the idea of products that have no marginal cost of replication. Knowledge workers function like athletes – train and sprint, then rest and reassess. If you want to be part of great company then you need to be able to sell or build, if you don’t do either, learn. Avoid ruin: stay out of jail, physically dangerous, or hurt your body. You have to watch your health. Being at the extreme at your art is very important in the age of leverage. Judgement is important. Where you live, who you are with and what do you do. Choosing what city to live in can completely determine the trajectory of your life, but we spend so little time trying to figure out what city to live in. Figure out what you are good at and start helping other people with it. Pay it forward. Karma works because people are consistent. I think the best way to stay away from this constant love of money is to not upgrade your lifestyle as you make money. Third way is you become very good at spotting luck. If you are very good in a field, you will notice a lucky break happens in your field. Second is through persistence, hard work, hustle and motion. Last kind of luck is the weirdest, hardest kind where you build a unique character, a unique brand, a unique mindset, which causes luck to find you. One of the things I think is important to make money is having a reputation that makes people do deals through you. Your character and your reputation are things you can build. Be a maker who makes something interesting people want. Show your craft, practice your craft and then right people will eventually find you.
