Description of the Program The Bachelor of Science in Architecture program is a response to the challenge of producing
architects that are competitive and relevant agents of positive change. The program is focused
on a Design and Leadership agenda, which aims to train future architects who can compete with
the best in the ASEAN region through excellence in design and business.

The program engages students to contribute to nation building through competence in design
and policy. They are endeavored to be trailblazers in design innovation through research in
material sciences, technology, and engineering. By identifying the right problems and proposing
the most excellent solutions, they are expected to become industry leaders and solution
providers, responding to current and pressing social problems, both locally and globally.

These solutions are research-based, process-driven, user-empathetic and activist-provoking that

constantly challenge the status quo, as well as innovative and technologically ground breaking
but at the same time inclusive, humane and culturally sensitive.
Expected Program Learning Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science in Architecture, students are expected to:

● PO1. Articulate logical, critical thinking, and communication skills to provide optimum
Architectural solutions through oral presentation.
● PO2. Practice environmental responsiveness to local and global issues and concerns to
develop revolutionary design industry leaders who would significantly contribute to the
continued development of the build environment, by transcending standards through
national and international collaboration.
● PO3. Generate new Architectural knowledge to advance the architectural discipline by
means of innovative and exploratory research.
Admission Requirements All students must pass the Benildean Entrance Exam (BEE). The information regarding
application, admission timetable, and application results may be viewed at Benilde Admissions
Center. Downloadable forms and school brochures are available from this site.

Applicants applying to any degree or non-degree program offered by DLS-CSB are expected to
provide complete medical disclosure of past or present conditions that may have an effect on
student learning and their intention to be a member of the Benildean community.

During the students’ first term, they must book an appointment with Benilde Wellness Office.

Teaching and Learning DLS-CSB espouses and promotes learner-centered parameters. A balance of theory and practice
Strategy, Assessment is achieved through lecture courses combined with laboratory courses/sessions and
constructions.

Various assessment strategies are used such as class discussion, assignment, individual and
group plates and exercises, presentations, and exhibitions, return demonstration, critical
analysis, portfolio submission, final project and individual/group report.
