Program Title Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity (BSCSec)
Description of the The Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity program focuses on the practical and theoretical aspects
Program of cyber security across a range of fundamental areas, such as network security and vulnerability
assessment, information security policy and governance, digital forensics, and ethical hacking.
It provides students with technical and managerial training in areas that deal with cyber security
management, incident response, and security threat assessment which requires them to be creators
of knowledge and inventors of processes, not merely users of information.
Graduates of the program will possess a solid grounding in conventional computer, network and
cloud security concepts and skills that are designed to meet the changing landscape of secure
computing.
Expected Program Upon the completion of the B.S. in Cybersecurity program, the learner will be able to:
Learning Outcomes ● Design a plan to manage cybersecurity threats based on theoretical frameworks and
industry standards
● Implement a security plan by instituting process and technology controls to protect
information assets
● Execute recovery strategies by utilizing methods and tools to resume mission-critical
functions
● Demonstrate ethical and social responsibility by adopting relevant standards in the practice
of the profession
Admission Requirements All students must pass the Benildean Entrance Exam (BEE). The information regarding application,

Applicants applying to any degree or non-degree program offered by DLS-CSB are expected to
provide a complete medical disclosure of past or present conditions that may have an effect on
student learning and their intention to be a member of the Benildean community.
Curriculum and Program The curriculum and program structure are outlined in the course sequence. The curriculum map

Teaching and Learning DLS-CSB espouses and promotes learner-centered parameters. The courses are delivered with
Strategy, Assessment emphasis on individual and collaborative activities where teachers design the environment for
learning and guide the learners to develop the important competencies.
Alternative ways of teaching is commonly used, such as, case studies, video/film showing,
independent research, guided discovery, class and small group discussions, and group and
individual presentations.
A Learning Management System (LMS) is used as an on-line support that (1) provides a central
repository where students can access resources anytime anywhere, (2) tracks the students’ progress,
(3) processes assignments, and exams, and (4) provides a venue for communication.
Various assessment strategies are used such as class discussion, written and oral examinations,
return demonstration, journal submission, reflective essay, assignment, seatwork, case study
analysis, portfolio submission, final project and individual/group report.
