C1. Discuss in detail about the specialist theories and concepts of the ethics in engineering practice and
engineering laws.
C2. Apply different engineering laws to solve legal issues to avoid litigation, arbitration or other forms of
dispute resolution.

engineer, construction manager, general contractor, subcontractor and supplier) from different case
studies incorporated.
C4. Critically evaluate engineering and construction cases to determine if there is legal entitlement, a
cause and effect analysis, ethical analysis and reasonable damages.

•Air quality laws are designed to protect human length by eliminating the

Organizations and individuals are prevented from working in the maintenance of
buildings which contains substances like asbestos, its transportation and disposal of the
waste without permission from the environmental authority.

Article 2
Inorder to obtain a license to work on substances like asbestos the applicant can submit
an application to the directorate of environmental authority. This application also
requires the following details.
A list containing the name and cpr numbers of the qualified workers to carry out the
work
A copy of the qualifications and experience certifications of the workers and technicians
approved by the authorities concerned.
A recent medical certificate certifying the health of workers certifying that they are free
of respiratory illness of any kind, issued in a date not exceeding 14 days prior to the date
of filing of application
List of equipments to carry out the work for example suction material, barriers, etc

A party who has acquired license should maintain all the documents, information are
related to the workers who are dealing with asbestos after recording them in a register.
These documents must be maintained for a period of 15 years from the date of
commencement of registration and updation of such documents must be done in every
6 months.

1)A well known chemical plant in Bahrain was emitting harmful pollutants like carbon
dioxide and carbon monoxide to the atmosphere in excessive quantity. Upon
finding out the violation, a case was filed against this company. Discuss what
violation of law can be filed against them.
2)An inspection conducted in a chemical factory found out that the exhausts and the
untreated water from the plant is directly ejected out to the surrounding habitat.
with reference to the bahrain laws suggest the possible cases that can be filed
against this factory premises.
•Environmental and natural resources law is also known as
environmental law refers to a set of treaties, regulations
and common laws which deals with the effects of activities
of humans on the environment.
