General Instructions for 18CSP109L-Project (10 Credits) / 18CSP111L- Project (7 Credits)

 Students must earn ten credits in their 8th semester


 Students can choose 18CSP109L – PROJECT (10 CREDITS) course or
18CSP111L – Project (7 CREDITS) with 18CSP112L – Internship (3 Credits)
courses in their 8th semester.
 Students placed through SRM Placements with Internship offers can choose
18CSP111L – Project (7 CREDITS) with 18CSP112L – Internship courses in their
8th semester.
 Student teams can choose their project supervisor.
 Minor projects may be extended to major projects according to the request of the
project supervisor. Complex Projects that are fruitful to sustainable society can be
extended to Major projects.
 8th semester project will be started immediately after the seventh-semester
examinations (7th December 2023)
 Students can do their projects in teamwork (It may be either a Research project or
Product development).
 Students can form teams of two to four members. In the case of complex projects,
team size may be increased according to the supervisor’s request.
 Projects should be aligned with one of the sustainable development goals (SDGs)
which transform our world.
The SDGs are described in the following figure

 Cross-discipline teams (students from SOC departments) shall be formed.


Corresponding supervisor’s panel will conduct the review.
 Projects are periodically reviewed by the project panel and the progress should be
recorded.
 During the reviews, Students should present and demonstrate their project and submit
the required documents in a well-structured format.
 Projects must be visualized to the public audience through project expos. Project
expos are organized from March – April 2024 by the project coordinators.

 Publication and patenting of the project work is mandatory.


 Project Review -0 is for project title finalization. Students should start their project
work immediately after the seventh semester university examinations (7 December
2023).
Review -0 Instructions

1. Review -0 will be conducted on 20 November 2023


2. Students are expected to complete their review on the mentioned date.
3. All the batches are expected to submit their Guide Acceptance form.
4. Project coordinators are instructed to collect guide acceptance forms from
students on or before November 14th, 2023.
5. The coordinators should consolidate department-wise batch details on November
15th, 2023, and submit them to Projectify coordinators
6. Students should Prepare a presentation (PPT) for 15 minutes with the following
contents and submit the required documents
