CEMENT STAND: STANDARD EN 197- 1:2000. ‘The main cement type. ‘There are 5 types of cement define by the cement standard EN 197 which are then dependent on other constituents of a cement, besides clinker and gypsum for regulation of setting time. CEM I: cement comprised clinker and gypsum (Portland cement), and up to 5% of addition of main constituents. The constituents can be blastfurnace slagsilica fume, natural pozzolana fly ash, limestone | or burnt shale. CEM II: cement comprised clinker and gypsum (Portland cement), and Up to 35% of addition of main constituents. The constituents can be blastfurnace slagsilica fume, natural pozzolana,fiy ash, limestone cor burnt shale CEM Ill: cement comprised clinker ‘and gypsum (Portland cement), and up to 35% of blastfurnace slag, they are blastfurnace slage cements. CEM IV: cement comprised clinker and gypsum (Portland cement), and more than 35% of Pozzolana, they are Pozzolanic cements CEM V: cement comprised clinker and gypsum (Portland cement), and more than 31% of each of blastfurnace slag and Pozzolana, they are composite cements.
