Analysis
Which is easier to do, manually compute the grade of the students or the use of
e-class record? Why?
an e-class record is generally easier than manually computing grades for several reasons.
Firstly, e-class records provide greater ease for calculating grades in various learning areas for
various grade levels is provided by the downloadable electronic class record,
which is formatted using the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet file. The aforementioned e-class
record has an auto-calculation system and already indicated percentages for each component.
It will automatically compute and generate the results if we are very careful
with our inputs, specifically the fundamental information provided by our students and the
appropriate numerical value for each
component. It is accurate, time-saving, and useful for updating and retrieving academic
information about students and a more reliable and effective tool. On the other hand, the
manual method of recording, updating and retrieving academic information about students can
still be used, but it takes time and can frequently cause problems with data modulation and
entry of even the loss of data. ready made-template. it can automate calculations, reducing the
risk of human error in grade calculations. Secondly, they provide a centralized and organized
platform for storing and accessing student data, making it more efficient to manage grades and
student
information. e-class records often come with features like grade weighting, grade scaling, and
easy integration of assignments, which can save a lot of time for educators. Moreover, they
facilitate communication with students and parents, offering transparency in grading. e-class
records streamline the grading process, enhance accuracy, and improve communication,
making them a more convenient option compared to manual calculations
an E-class record system can instantly compute averages, totals, and apply grading scales
based on preset criteria, even in just a snap of a finger. Hence, it reduces the chance of
calculation errors, saves my time as a teacher, and applies grading criteria consistently across
all students or a certain class. Using E-class record, in my experience, can also be manageable
when it comes to copy-
pasting the names, tracking my students’ progress, and can also share these records to them.
Unlike computing the grades manually, E-class record system is far easier because of its
accuracy in computation, time-saving, and accessibility
as well.
.
Yes, it is important. Because grading system is used in evaluating student's performance. It also serves as
a feedback on student work In order to ensure a trustworthy assurance mechanism for the information
of pupils, schools accredited by DepEd shall update their school forms. Preserving the timely and quality
of school reports, as well as reducing the amount of money used to store records. Schools’ forms which
are very confidential can be traced by the departments. And in evaluating the performance or work of
student, there must be a basis or the systematic approach to have fairness of giving grade. And if
someone will complain, there is a basis to show on how that student got that grade. Like It gives
students feedback on their own learning, explains what they can do better, and gives teachers the
information they need to make better decisions about how to teach in the future. However,
It is indeed needed to employ a systematic approach in computing the grades of the students as it is not
just a number for the teachers as it will show how the student passed the grade level and how they
understood the lesson in every discussion with the score they got in each assessment that will test how
they comprehend the lesson. It must be also systematic as teachers create the lesson with thorough
planning that is focused on the students. Scores are also evidence that we can look at if the students
must pass and take another grade as we can’t just pass them easily as they need to prove themselves
and must garner a passing grade for them to graduate. Education serves its quality and purpose and so
we must systematically study and examine each student’s capabilities and scores for us to create a grade
that they deserve. despite , the positive effects of grades, inaccuracy and dissatisfaction can also cause
anxiety and stress for teachers and students alike. As a result, it is critical to use a methodical approach
when calculating the. Additionally, teachers will benefit from maximizing their time by using a
methodical grade calculation, which will reduce stress.
Why is there a need to complete the different school forms?
Teachers are required to fill out all forms of students on a yearly basis so that they double
check and record the necessary information for each student. Teachers shall do so in
accordance with the prescribed standard procedure of the Department of Education and the
protocol for the proper preparation, evaluation and updating of school forms. Because, it will
guarantee the confidentiality of information on students, ensure quality and longevity in school
reports as well as reduce resources used for secretarial records and record management. And It
is needed to accomplish as they have a different purpose that must be recorded for
transparency in any transactions.
This also contains learners’ information and reliable resources that need to be evaluate.
We always need proofs and records as these school forms will be used in time when it is
needed. It will be an e-portfolio for us teachers that will summarize all the forms we completed
as this is needed at the end of the quarter for us also to validate the school forms that we did
and created. This will also hold transcription of each student and the different personnel in the
school as we can track them down in the school forms they answered. This will also show their
cooperation in completing the task and records they must do. Each school
requires these various school forms to guarantee the accuracy and consistency of student data.
The achievement of these school forms holds significant for the entire school community. The
SF 1- School Registrar must be completed because it provides detailed
information about each learner’s summary data for EBEIS reporting. The daily update of
students’ attendance and the monitoring of absenteeism require completion of SF 2 - Daily
Attendance. It is necessary to complete SF 3 – Books Issued and Returned because it tracks all
textbook usage and must be reported regardless of the number of books per subject area.
Because it is lifted from SF 2, which was submitted by a teacher or adviser, SF 4 – Summary of
Enrollment and Movement of Learners must be completed. A copy of this report is provided by
the division office for the moth of June, October and March the SF 5 – Report in Promotion and
Learning Progress and achievement must be completed because it is utilized for all grade levels
and year levels, regardless of the curriculum or program. Permanent Academic Record is
required because it is an individual record of a learner’s level-specific academic achievement.
Overall these are significant due to their widespread and legalization in DepEd educational
system.
There are standards and procedures in place for creating, assessing, and amending
school forms. Every DepEd school is required to update its school paperwork at the
end of each school year (SY) in order to provide reliable assurance. The purpose of
this is to create a dependable assurance mechanism to assure the quality and
consistency of the information provided by the students. It will also ensure the
accuracy and quality of school reports while saving money on record management.
This saves school employees time and effort on clerical tasks and record keeping
while maintaining the accuracy of students' information and the quality of school
forms.
It also depends if it is not gotten all by the same day. There is a form that need
to accomplish daily like the SF 2. There are forms that needs to accomplished
quarterly, at the beginning of the school year (BoSY), end of the school year (EoSY)
and up to the end of the school year as needed. The timing for accomplishing
different school forms may vary depending on the specific requirements and policies
of educational institutions. It also might cause problems if the school forms aren’t
completed according to a specific schedule. If the school forms cannot be submitted
on time, students will not be allowed to apply for admission in the following
academic year. Forms from schools are necessary because they’ll be your proof as
official documents. It also includes the teachers’ reports as well as students’ grades.
In order to avoid errors, school forms should be clearly legible and correct input.
We’ve got to focus our attention on completing forms at school.
What will happen if the school forms are not completed on the specified
schedule?
Generate your own data, do a sample computation of students’ grade using the
DepEd assessment criteria in your respective specialization.
Download and print the DepEd forms listed above. Familiarize yourself by
accomplishing the forms with at least fifteen (15) names as learners.
Reflection
If you are a teacher, what approach will you use to systematically compute the
grades of your students? Why do you prefer that approach?
Educators unanimously lean towards leveraging digital tools, predominantly
Microsoft Excel or computer-generated grading systems, to systematically compute
students' grades. This preference is grounded in the ease of use, precision, and
efficiency offered by these technological solutions. Teachers highlight the practicality
of employing these systems, citing time-saving benefits and the seamless integration
of technology into the educational process. Furthermore, the digital approach aligns
with the evolving landscape of education, emphasizing the importance of
technological adaptation for effective teaching and assessment.
Which of the different school forms is the most difficult to accomplish? What will
you do to lessen the difficulty encountered in accomplishing this form?
Identified as the most challenging, School Form 10 (Learner's Permanent
Record) demands meticulous attention due to its comprehensive nature. Beyond
tracking academic performance, this form necessitates accurate input of various
student details. Educators emphasize the need for early organization of student data,
including the tracking of previous grades, to streamline the process. The significance
of error prevention is underscored, emphasizing the need for careful management of
extensive academic records. The challenges associated with SF10 highlight the
intricate nature of maintaining comprehensive learner profiles and accentuate the
need for systematic approaches to data management within educational institutions.
