SCOPE AND DELIMITATIONS

OF THE STUDY
Scope and Delimitations of a study
- tell the reader on what information is included in the
research and site the restrictions of the information.
Scope refers to the depth at which the research area will be
explored.
Example:
The scope of our study is to determine the extents of
study habit and academic achievement of the junior high
school students, and to know if they are significantly related.
Delimitation parameters or characteristics that limit the
scope and outline the boundaries of the study. These
parameters include sample size, time, and geographic
area.
Example:
The study will be limited only to the Grades 9 and 10
students in junior high school. The study will be conducted
only in 2 selected schools in Cluster 1, Division of Davao City
from February to March 2023.
PRACTICE EXERCISE
Instruction: Read the following statements. Indicate whether

1. This study is conducted at Mintal Comprehensive High
