TASK 1. LETTER HUNT GAME


Directions: Students will supply the missing letter to complete the word by finding
something that starts with those missing letters and whoever comes first to complete
those, will be the winner.

For example, D _ C _ _ O _
- a qualified practitioner of medicine
Letters O, T, and R are missing. So, students will find something that starts with
those letters like, orange, tape, and ruler.

– act of linking or connecting one thing to another.

- They concluded that you could comprehend better when you make different
kinds of connection.

1. How will you describe the words that you discover?
2. Can you recall the different types of connections? What are those?

1. Text-to-self: are actually personal connections that you make between yourself
and the selection you are dealing with. Previous experiences, emotions, or
opinions may be similar to the ones present in the material.

2. Text-to-text: are connections where you relate one material to another that you
have read or have already come across. Texts might be from a similar author,
same theme or topic, same genre, and the like.

3. Text-to-world: are the larger connections that a reader brings to a reading
situation including our perception of the world which might vary since we have
various sources of learning things beyond personal experiences.

• Teacher will ask students about their learnings and realization about the lesson.

the text to yourself, to something you have read, and how does this text relate to the world
around you (according to your assigned task). Be guided by the rubrics.
