Job Summary
Reports to Planning Manager/Project Director
We are looking for a competent Planning Engineer to
support in planning related task in various Projects assigned. Primary responsibilities
1. Excellent knowledge on fabrication sequence of pressure vessels,
heat exchangers, Modules, Piping, process tanks, skids etc. 2. Understand work scope, quantity and familiar with logical sequences in terms of engineering, manufacturing and construction disciplines. 3. Preparation of planning package – Base line project schedule from L1 to L5 base line schedules in Primavera P6.Identifying critical path and long lead activities with schedule narrative. 4. Understand WBS structure, and work with management and project team in the development of work break down structure for progress measurement, scheduling ,cost estimating and project control. 5. Updation of project schedule weekly basis with all updates from each departments 6. Preparation of Progress measurement system,S curve,Manpower Histogram ,project calendar 7. Preparation of Manpower histogram using budget man hours on each project. 8. Expertise on performing delay analysis to claim for time extension 9. Prepare and manage overall master schedule integrating work breakdown structure using scheduling software. 10. Good Understanding of contractual matter, earn value method , familiar with scope management and change control. 11. Track, monitor and forecast progress of all activities and deliverable such as products, engineering documents, fabrication status and construction of all discipline 12. Preparation of cash flow chart with inflow and outflow with plan and achieved 13. Analyze gaps between the planned and actual progress and highlight the areas of concern which required action of the associate task member 14. Prepare risk register for all assigned projects and report the severity to PMs 15. Participate all meeting ( i.e schedule review meeting , progress meeting, coordination meeting, constructibility review meeting and so on ). 16. Prepare and update three weeks and three months look-ahead schedule that reflect the priority activities 17. Preparing power point presentation for project review in front of management & client 18. Prepare different type of tracker sheets, dash boards, auto updated sheets in excels 19. Preparing weekly progress reports, monthly progress reports
Requirements
Proven experience as planning engineer with minimum 4 year experience
in fabrication industry Mechanical Engineering background with good knowledge in fabrication activities Proficient in Planning softwares on Primavera P6 & MS projects. Excellent knowledge in MS Excel & Powerpoint with advanced excel skills. Fluency in English wiring/reading skills. Additional languages are preferred. Strong working knowledge of office procedures and protocols Proficiency with computer systems, including experience with office management systems, ERPs, and Microsoft Office suite. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Excellent organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and ability to multitask and prioritize work. Should be able to comprehend the meeting discussions and convert to MOM In depth knowledge of office management and basic accounting procedures as well as technical vocabulary of relevant industry Power point presentation/MSP Familiar to make pie graphs/ bar charts/ pictorial presentations. Excellent organizational and time-management skills To be successful, candidates should be self-motivated and proactive, able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, and have exceptional communication skills.
