Leader Guide
Engage:
For this activity, you will need colored beads and string in the following colors: green, gray or black, red,
yellow, and blue. Give each of the kids a wrapped gift. Inside they will find enough supplies to make two
salvation bracelets, one to keep and one to give away. As the kids work on creating their bracelets, explain
what each color means. Ask them to talk about what they might say to a friend when they share about Jesus.

(Green = growing in our faith, Bible reading, prayer, and worship; Gray/black = sin; Red = God's
love; Yellow = promise of eternal life; Blue = the Holy Spirit to guide us)

Discuss: Have the kids open up their Bibles and read together
Acts 8:26-40

The eunuch had traveled over 1,000 miles to worship God in Jerusalem. On his way back to Africa, he was
reading the Old Testament book of Isaiah, written 800 years earlier. He didn't understand that Isaiah's
prophecy was about Jesus dying on the cross so that our sins could be forgiven. When Philip explained
about Jesus, the eunuch asked Jesus to forgive his sins.
Discuss the following questions:
—What do you really like about Jesus?
—What questions might your friends have about Jesus?
—How can you explain your bracelet to help your friends know more about Jesus?

Response:
Give each of the kids a paper heart and a marker. Have them take time to pray and ask God who He
may be laying on their heart for them to encourage and share Jesus with. Once God speaks to them,
have the kids write down the name of the person that He has put on their hearts. Encourage them to
find a place in their room to begin praying for that person that they would come to know God and that
God would help them to share Jesus with that person.

Memorize: "For the Son of Man came to seek and save

those who are lost." (Luke 19:10, NLT)

Write each word of the memory verse on pieces of paper and hide them around the room. If you have a
larger group of kids, you could write one set of words on colored paper and another set on a different
colored paper. Have the kids go on a search and find all the words. Then they should put the memory
verse back together again with their team. Review the verse a few different times with the kids.

Create:
Give each child a piece of lined paper with "I Know Jesus Loves Me Because..." written at the top. Have them
write out all of the reasons that they know Jesus loves them. (Examples: the Bible says so, I can feel it, etc.)
Younger kids could draw pictures instead of writing words. Explain that the different ways Jesus loves them
are things they can share with others. This will help those around them to learn who Jesus is.
