Part Four

After being a member of the gym for a few weeks, you receive this email
from the gym management.

Dear Members

We are writing to inform you that from next week the gym will be closed at
weekends for two months. This is due to that fact that we need to renovate the
changing rooms and showers. We have decided that Saturdays and Sundays
will be the best days to carry out this work, as attendance is much lower then.
We apologise for the inconvenience, and hope you will understand that it is for
the benefit of everyone.

The Management

Task 1

(Suggested time 10 minutes.)

Write an email to your friend who is also a member of the gym. Write about
your feelings and what you think about the situation. Write 40–50 words.

Task 2

(Suggested time 20 minutes.)

Write an email to the management. Write about your feelings and what you
think about the situation. Write 120-150 words.

As always, when you’ve finished writing, check through your work. Look for:

○ spelling and punctuation mistakes

○ grammar mistakes (for example tenses, 3rd person ‘s’ endings, wrong
preposition)
○ correct use of paragraphs
○ correct word counts
