    NOTICE
    Always handle oils and other environmentally hazardous fluids in an environmentally safe manner.

    CAUTION
    Risk of injury.

    Lifting heavy objects by hand could lead to serious crushing and back injury.

    Use an appropriate lifting device when lifting heavy objects.

    Removing

    1. Place the machine in service position. Refer Service position 1 .

    2. Remove the drum drive from the machine. Refer Drum drive, removing.
    Weight of drum drive assembly: 435 kg (960 lb)

    3. Remove the gearbox mounting screws(2) from drive plate and remove the drive plate from the drum drive
    assembly with a suitable lifting device.
    Weight of drive plate: 180 kg (397 lb)

    4. Remove the adapters from the gearbox.

    5. Remove the gearbox mounting screws(5) and remove the drum motor mounting bracket(6) from the assembly with
    a suitable lifting device.
    Weight of drum motor mounting bracket: 74.5 kg (164 lb).

    6. Remove the motor from the gearbox.


    Weight of gearbox: 114 kg (251 lb)
    Weight of hydrauli motor: 30 kg (66 lb)

    Installing
    NOTE!
    Refer Drum, tightening torques for torques.

    NOTE!
    Apply Loctite 273 on screws.

    7. Lubricate the O-ring and install it on the motor.

    8. Install the motor on to the gearbox. Torque tighten the screws.

    9. Install the drum motor mounting bracket on gearbox. Torque tighten the screws.
    Weight of drum motor mounting bracket: 74.5 kg (164 lb).

    10. Install the adapters onto the gearbox.

    11. Install the drive plate on gearbox. Torque tighten the screws.
    Weight of drive plate: 180 kg (397 lb).
    NOTE!
    Two persons are required for the operation.

    12. Install the drum drive on to the drum. Refer Drum drive, installing.
    13. Place the machine back in service.
