Competition Rules
1) Each team shall comprise of 2 players from the same school they are representing.
2) Participants shall be in school uniforms when competing.
3) Each team is given:
- 15 minutes per game Woogles.io
- 25 minutes for Scrabble Board.
4) There is no time limit for each move, but the game shall end:
- Woogles.io: Any team which exceeds the allocated 15 minutes shall be penalised
10 points after 1 minute overtime.
- Scrabble Board: Any team exceeds the allocated 25 minutes shall be penalised
10 points after 1 minute overtime.
5) Each team shall play seven rounds:
- 6 rounds Woogles.io
- 1 round Scrabble Board (only for the top 4 teams)
6) The Tournament Director will determine the pairings for each round.
7) The game will be played on:
- Online Woogles.io website using laptop at the hall.
- Scrabble board will be played in ICT Room.
8) The game will be invigilated by invigilator (teachers in charge).
9) Only words in the Collins Scrabble Dictionary (latest edition; i.e. (CSW 2021) are
allowed. However, teams are NOT allowed to form indecent/obscene words though
the words can be found in the dictionary.
10) Teams shall NOT refer to any dictionaries and/or electronic devices while playing.
11) Teams shall NOT change browser tabs while playing on woogles.io.
12) Teams must NOT chat with the opponent during the game.
13) Teams MUST ALLOW the game officials to view entire screen throughout the
gameplay for surveillance.
TOURNAMENT FLOW
Woogles.io:
1) Each team will receive team scoresheet and appendix of school code and 1st round
pairing will be announced.
2) Team 1 will receive result slip and create the match (Match a friend).
3) Team 2 will wait for match request.
4) Game start once team 2 accept match request.
5) Once finished, team 1 will fill in the result slip and ask for signature from opponent
(team 2)
6) Team 2 must make sure team 1 fill in the correct score upon signing the slip.
7) Team 2 submits the return slip to the scorekeeper.
8) Update your team scoresheet and wait for next round.
Scrabble Board:
1) Only top 4 teams will compete in the final round.
2) Each team will receive team scoresheet and pairing will be announced.
3) Game will start after the players are ready.
4) The teams need to count their score on their own without teachers helping them. The
teachers in charge of the competition will monitor their games.
5) Once finished, they must submit the scoresheet to teachers in charge.
6) Winners will be announced after the judges verify their scores.

2) Pen / Pencil and papers
3) Extension Wire
4) Chess Clock
5) Scrabble Board (eg: SAHIBBA)
