I. Research Design
The study will use a mixed method, also known as a descriptive research
design, which uses both qualitative and quantitative research data. The purpose of
descriptive study design is to provide systematic information regarding a phenomenon.
To fulfill the study's objectives, as well as to evaluate the effects of the pandemic
transition on high school students' mental health and stress levels, this kind of research
design was selected.
IV. Respondents
The respondents of the study will be senior high school students at Eveland
Christian College. The researchers chose the senior high school students as the
respondents of the study becasues they are ia a period of psychological development, and it
is also the frequent period of a variety of psychological problems. . As shown in table 1, there
will be a total of 377 respondents.

We use Slovin’s formula to calculate the sample size of the study. Slovin's
formula allow the study to sample the population with a desired degree of accuracy. To
obtain the sample size, the following formula was used.
N
n= 2
1+ N e
Where
N= Population size
E= Margin of error(0.05)
The researchers utilized snowball sampling technique for the data gathering of
the quantitative part of the study, it is a non-probability sampling technique where one
of the samples leads on to more kinds of sample. The researchers chose snowball
sampling since it will helps us determine and evaluate samples in the population with
the same circumstances who meets our study’s standard, these sampling technique is
appropriate for these study since our study is mainly on assessing or evaluating the
impact of the pandemic transition on the mental health and stress levels of high school
students it would help us determine participants with the same condition of other
participants by asking them to help in recruiting potential participants who meets our
standard.
