System Requirements
User should have complete administrative access on the target machine.

Hardware
 Corei3 (or above)
 2 GB of Ram (Minimum)
 Internet Connection (1 MB Minimum)

Software
 Windows 10 (64 bit) equal or above version 1909
 Microsoft Office 2007 or above
 Any other supporting software if required by VU

Installation
Pre-Installation Important Notes
 Uninstall older version of VUTES Overseas software (If Exists) before starting installation.
 Uninstall all versions of Microsoft Visual C++ (If Exists) from your computer.

Following is the list of pre-requisites and software to prepare your PC for Examination:

Pre-Requisites:
1. Microsoft Dot Net Framework 4.5.2
2. Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x64) version 11.0.61030
3. Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64) version 14.0.24123

Software:
4. VUTES Overseas 2.1
5. Team Viewer

Login in https://qb.vu.edu.pk/login.aspx with your VULMS student id and password and download the
pre-requisites and software.

Pre-Requisites Installations:

1. Install Microsoft Dot Net Framework 4.5.2

Step 1. Double click and install Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5.2.

If version 4.5.2 is already installed, then go to the next step.

2. Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x64)
version 11.0.61030

Step 1. Double click on Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x64) version 11.0.61030

Step 2. Check the ‘Terms and Condition’ checkbox and click install button. Click ‘Yes’ on the
‘User Account Control’ window.

After installation, click on close and move to the next step

3. Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64)
version 14.0.24123

Step 1. Double click on Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64) version 14.0.24123

Step 2. Check the ‘Terms and Condition’ checkbox and click install button. Click ‘Yes’ on the
‘User Account Control’ window. After installation press close and move to the next step.

If you have the same version already installed, then click on ‘Repair’ and click ‘Yes’ on the
‘User Account Control’ window.

If there is a newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 installed (e.g. 2017, 2019). You
must first uninstall the newer version then install the 2015 (14.0.24123) version.

Click on ‘Start’ (Bottom left corner of the screen)

Type ‘Add or Remove Programs’ and click ‘Enter’

Scroll down to Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable 2015 – 2019 Version 14.29, on
selection, click on ‘Uninstall’. Press ‘Yes’ on the ‘User Account Control’ windows and uninstall
it.

After the uninstallation, install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64) version
14.0.24123 as guide in 3rd Perquisite.

Software Installations:

4. Install VUTES Overseas 2.1

Step 1. Double click VUTES Overseas 2.1 exam application setup file.

Step 2. Click ‘Next on the information screen.

Step 3. Click the ‘Install’ button.

Step 4. Click “Yes” button.

Step 5. Wait for the installation process to be completed.

 Step 6. On completion, click ‘Finish’.

The following icon of the exam application will be placed on the desktop. Double click the
icon to run the application.

5. Install Team Viewer

Step 1. Double click Team Viewer Setup.

Step 2. Select the following and clink ‘Accept - Finish’

Step 3. Go to Extras and Options

Step 4. Set your display name as Student ID

Step 5. After logging in to exam software VUTES. You must send the auto-generated ID and
Password to the examiner in the Chatbox.

Note: You are not required to sign in to a TeamViewer account.
