CONTENT STANDARD Main: 4.1 Form letters and words in neat legible print using cursive writing
Complementary: 3.1 Recognise words in linear and non-linear texts by using
knowledge of sounds of letters
LEARNING STANDARD Main: 4.1.2 i) Form upper and lower case letters of regular size and shape ii)
write letters and words in straight line from left to right with regular spaces
between words and spaces iii) Copy letters and familiar high frequency
words and phrases correctly,
Complementary: 3.1.2 Recognise and sound out with support beginning,
medial and final sounds in a word, 3.1.3, 3.1.4
LEARNING OBJECTIVES Main: At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to match and write at least
4 words correctly.
Complementary: At the end of the lesson, some pupils will be able to read at
least 5 words from the board game correctly with support.
SUCCESS CRITERIA 1. Pupils will be able to understand and match words correctly.
2. Pupils will be able to write words correctly.
3. Pupils able to read words from the board correctly.
STARTER Pupils are guided to sing the Phonics song with gestures. Recap on all the
sound groups they have learned this week.
LESSON DELIVERY 1. Pupils are given the i,m,n,d boardgame in their groups.
2. Pupils play the game. They say and write the words in their exercise
books.
3. Pupils are guided by their peers in their groups

5. Pupils play the game. They say and write the words in their exercise

6. Pupils complete ‘Read & Colour’ worksheet given by teacher.
